Can you tell me the difference between a VLT (video lottery terminal) and a regular slot machine? Here in Ohio they advertise VLTs, not slot machines. Also, I have not seen VLTs in Vegas.

While on Fremont, I noticed Las Vegas Club didn’t douse the lights when the Fremont Street Experience show was performing and recalled that the owners in the past had been in arrears for payment to the FSE. Are there still problems between the two?

What’s happening with the huge Brazilian festival that was announced for Vegas awhile back? I seem to recall reading that there was a special venue being built on the Strip somewhere and that MGM Grand was involved, but there have been so many announcements about new concert venues and arenas and festivals that I can't keep up with what's actually happening and what isn't. I don't seem to have heard any updates about this one so did I just imagine the whole thing or was it canceled or ??? Help!

Since Caesars has replaced all of its video poker and keno machines over the last three years or so, it seems as if the programming has changed. It’s almost like the system is comparing money-in to money-out. It feels like it’s much tougher to get any type of hand, and when you do, it seems you get dead hands to make up for the payout. Get a flush, then lose nine hands in a row. Get a straight, then lose seven hands in a row. Getting a hand that pays more than your bet seems to happen much less. Has there been a change in the way the program works? Could the new machines be disallowing hands if you just won something or if more has been paid out than taken in?
