I hate to see the old buildings of Vegas go under (especially when it's a "first" of something.) So when I was out the other night taking some shots of the White Cross while I still could, I was wondering if you guys knew anything more about the place, about its past, about what happened, about the future of the building and of Tiffany's? There is a lot of speculation that the four new casinos opening in Ohio may cause major losses in revenue for the three Detroit casinos, as the new Hollywood Casino in Toledo, Ohio is only 60 miles from Detroit. What do you think?

My sister and I have been making yearly trips to Las Vegas for seven years now and one of the things we enjoy there is the free show of Big Elvis at Bill's. You recently mentioned that he is moving to Harrah's May 3rd. Will this mean that he is no longer going to be a free show and will everyone with his show make the move as well?

I have read that in order to maintain a site for potential development of a gaming operation, city ordinances require that casino gambling occur there for at least eight hours every two years. United Coin is usually involved because its specialty is to set up temporary casino sites in tents or trailers to preserve gaming licenses. My question: What kind of games are offered and are the odds lousy? Does anyone ever win?

For many years we've stayed at the Flamingo mainly for their tennis courts. With the Linq project underway, they have gotten rid of their courts. Do you know of anywhere else on the Strip (or close by) that has courts available?

I’m curious what the vacancy rates are now compared to the pre-2008 glory days and also what the minimum vacancy rate has to be for them to break even. They may have 3,000 rooms but at the rates they charge, can they survive if only 50% are rented?

The "Question of the Day" concerning the number of hotel rooms in Las Vegas opened up other questions in my mind. Does revenue from hotel rooms stand alone in determining profit or loss for a hotel/casino, or is it lumped with other entities like food service and casino income?
