I have read that in order to maintain a site for potential development of a gaming operation, city ordinances require that casino gambling occur there for at least eight hours every two years. I was curious how many total hotel rooms each of the major casino companies (not hotels) has in Las Vegas. For example, how many rooms does MGM Resorts or Caesars Entertainment have to fill each night? What about Station Casinos or Boyd Gaming? Or even Wynn or the Venetian? In terms of marketing, the sheer volume of rooms to fill every day must be enormous.
