We were in Las Vegas recently and saw constructions crews taking down the Lady Luck signs from the hotel towers. Does this mean the Lady Luck may reopen in the future?

What went wrong at the Tropicana? For a while everything was looking so positive after the big renovations. But lately all the news has been negative. Nikki Beach is gone, the Mob Experience is bust, Brad Garrett is leaving, Gladys Knight is gone, and the president left. What happened? How did it all go from so good to so bad?

Re the recent question on chips - is it legal to sell unused chips? For example, I know someone with a $50 chip from Ceasars, I give him $40 for it and take it to Vegas. Any clouds on that horizon? Over many years of visiting Las Vegas I always seem to come home with several chips from different casinos, some still open some closed. I have a couple hundred in casino chips sitting around. Is there a place I could take them all to cash in, or would I have to go to each casino that are still open? And how bout the closed ones?

In the book Cullotta, a photo of the "Chicago Outfit circa 1970s" names one man as Joseph "Little Caesar" DiVarco. Just wondered if this person had a connection with Little Caesars, the little dive-of-a-casino on the Strip years back? Enjoyed the book a lot, BTW.

The other night I noticed a new sign on Main Street in front of the somewhat remodeled Plaza. The sign stated "Swingers Club" and "Dueling Pianos". Does the term "swingers" on that sign make reference to a '40s and '50s genre of music or is it advertising the sexual networking genre?
