A couple years ago, there was a big row over casinos wanting to add "private gaming salons" for the biggest whales. I remember that Nevada regulators did allow them with a variety of restrictions. The last I heard was that there were some mixed results and the casinos were not having the success they had hoped for. Do these salons still exist? What's the latest on them?

In your Dec. 4 answer about hitting a Powerball jackpot and buying a casino, you mentioned that getting licensed to own a casino is complicated and expensive. I always believed that since Nevada is by the casinos, for the casinos, and of the casinos, it would be easy to go into the gambling business there. How arduous is the licensing process?
