We come to Vegas twice a year....one week between Christmas and New Years and 14 days at some point in the summer (this year it's for Labor Day). All of our friends think we are crazy for coming for such a long period of time (we can't get enough)...Which leads us to our question: What is the average length of time that people visit Las Vegas for?

I was recently at a casino restaurant and eating at a breakfast buffet and wanted to know what happens to the leftover food from the buffet, not just breakfast but any buffet. Is the casino allowed to give it to the needy or is the left over food thrown away?

When Wet 'n Wild closed, they said it would open up somewhere else. Are they still going to open or is it just history? As old as the park was, it had some newer rides and one brand new one and when it closed, they said the land was sold even though they'd just renewed the lease. Was that true?

I was wondering what kinds of beds and bedding are used at the Mandalay Bay. I spend much of my year in hotel beds and the beds at Mandalay were heaven sent. I am buying my first home and I would love to to splurge on the exact setup that I slept on at Mandalay. In particular, the brands of the mattress, pillow top for the mattress, and the comforter are of great interest to me.

If I understood your QoD on keno correctly, keno machine odds are better than live keno odds due to the lower amounts that can be wagered and the speed with which machines can be played. But what about the randomness of chance for each game? Live keno seems to leave no doubt that the results are purely the result of chance; every game is visible to the player. However, a keno machine suggests that management can and does control the results. Is this correct? If so, to what extent? Live keno odds are difficult as is. But are machine results also the result of pure chance?

Rerun of 7/21 QoD: I recently watched an episode of "CSI" which had a plot where young adults in hoodies swarmed and attacked tourists. The activity and the episode were called "Fanny Packers." Is this a true thing?

When you really pay attention to the table games, it’s amazing how many variations there are in dealing procedures —- from the rules employed to how the cards or dice are handled. It seems to me that after all this time, there must be one best way to do things and it must be known. So why are there so many variations?

Your recent story on Jackie Gaughan and the El Cortez reminded me of our first trip to LV in 1968. Dad told us to stay there and ask Jackie about his old buddy, Bert Quinn of Club Bingo. Whatever happened to Club Bingo and Mr. Quinn?
