Every time I visit Las Vegas I wonder how many eggs does this town go through in one day. I eat more breakfasts when I'm in Vegas than when I'm home. I never think about it until I am there, and then it becomes an obsession thinking about the number of eggs the city must use. Do you have any idea?

I just read an article in a poker magazine regarding an incident that took place at the 2006 WSOP Main Event. Apparently, during a "coloring-up" phase, a player was mistakenly given an extra $2,000,000 in chips! The Harrah's employee that made this mistake was terminated. However, the article does not say who the player was that received this "gift" and whether or not he or she finished in the money. Can you provide any further details?

I would like to purchase some fabric to be able to make some drapes or curtains that have a Vegas-theme print on them. Who has something like this?

In your 10/4/07 QoD, you described how to go about keeping a manual log of gambling results. I have always relied on my yearly win-loss statements generated from my use of players club cards from the various casino companies. Am I making a mistake? Would the IRS reject such documentation as proof of losses?

In April we stopped at a little custard shop off Las Vegas Blvd. by the Stratosphere. To this day I can't remember the name of the place. It was the best custard I've ever eaten. Could you please tell me what the name was?

I belong to a few video poker email lists. Over the past few months, according to them, it seems the "better" video poker games are becoming extinct (or close to it). Are VP players unwelcome at the Strip casinos? If so, what do you suggest? (BTW, I am a Seven Stars player with Harrah's properties and do not particularly feel "wanted" by them. I am looking for the best place for $5 players.)

If a dealer makes a mistake and accidently pays you off on a losing wager or fails to pick up a losing wager, should you point it out to him? Will the casino act against you in any way? Is there a law against it?

I'm a 50-something frequent visitor to Las Vegas who likes to stay out late, dancing and drinking and partying. The problem is, the trendy clubs are for people half my age and I feel distinctly old and uncomfortable there (I've tried them). Do you have any suggestions for a little more sedate and conducive scene where I can find people closer to my age?

Now that the Canadian dollar is worth more than the U.S. dollar, what sort of exchange rate are the Las Vegas casinos giving for Canadian dollars?

Part one: "Last night's 'CSI' episode (10/4/07) featured an indoor go-cart track. Is this a real place or was it built for the show? I'm sure the next time we head to Vegas my son would love to check it out." Part two: "A recent episode of 'CSI' featured a murder that took place in a restaurant that was completely dark, deliberately, where the wait staff were blind and the darkness was meant to enhance your eating experience by heightening the taste sensations. Does such a restaurant really exist in Las Vegas? It sounds bizarre, but I'm intrigued."
