Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 83: Don’t Look Now, the VGK Are for Real

Hockey Knights in Vegas is BACK!

Well well well. Prior to the season, pundits and media from all over the NHL had basically written off the Vegas Golden Knights for this season: too many goals left via free agency and trades; not enough fire power; and on and on.

Well, whaddaya know. The VGK started the regular season 3-0-0 with convincing wins over Colorado, St. Louis, and Anaheim. This year’s top line of Jack Eichel, Mark Stone, and Ivan Barbishev are the hottest in the NHL and Eichel is leading the league with 7 points through three games.

Eddie and Chris break down the VGK’s (not-so) surprising start top to bottom and share why this year’s team could be building for a long playoff run.

The VGK are off on their first road trip of the season, beginning with a visit to our nations capital and a reunion with former VGK goaltender Logan Thompson.

You won’t want to miss the hot takes! All this and much more on Episode 83 of Hockey Knights in Vegas!

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 76: The Evil Empire Lives

Hockey Knights in Vegas is BACK!

The entire NHL universe was up in arms again on Friday when the VGK announced that Captain Mark Stone (lacerated spleen) had been cleared for practice (in a non-contact jersey) and would participate in the morning skate.

Following the trade-deadline frenzy that had everyone from the casual fan to Paul Bissonnette of TNT on edge, the news of Stone’s potential return for game one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs has only intensified the emotions. The team’s recent moves have caused quite a stir!

Chris and Eddie have fresh popcorn at the ready-to-watch and laugh.

After some fun to start Episode 76, the boys dive deeper into Noah Hanifin, who recently resigned (8 years 7.35MM AAV), and share their first impressions of Tomas Hertl. The reviews are very positive.

At this time of year, the talk is all playoffs, so down that rabbit hole we go. Where will the VGK finish? Who will be their 1st round opponent? Will the VGK be a favorite in the 1st round as potentially an 8 seed?

We want to know what YOU, the fans, think. Share your thoughts in the comments!

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 75: Daddy’s Back! No, Not Ryan Reaves

Hockey Knights in Vegas is BACK!

Rumors of the demise of the defending Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights are greatly exaggerated! As the wicked winds of the rumor swirled in every direction, the VGK decided it was time to quell the pseudo-critics, flip the switch, and show to the Pacific Division and the rest of the NHL that they would be a problem.

More than just going 7-2-1 in their last 10 games, more than the emergence of their trade-deadline acquisitions,  the VGK are playing 100% to their identity. Chris and Eddie deep-dive into what’s different, what’s changed, whether there really is a switch, and where it may be located.

After Eddie’s scathing criticism of Anthony Mantha in Episode 74, the big Frenchman wakes from sleeping-giant status and finds chemistry on a line with (who else?) William Karlsson and Pavel Dorofeyev.

Episode 75 concludes with a fascinating debate on who the MVP of the VGK is. The boys want your opinion!
