Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 100: Head Coach Bruce Cassidy Interviewed

Hockey Knights in Vegas is BACK!

If you’re at all into hockey and especially the Vegas Golden Knights, the first of the triple-digit podcasts from hockey mavens Eddie Rivkin and Chris Chapman is one not to miss. Episode One-Zero-Zero has on perhaps the most important guest in the Las Vegas hockey universe, head coach Bruce Cassidy. Bruce was hired by the VGK after the end of the 2022 season and the following June led the VGK to the Stanley Cup Finals, which the team won, for its first Cup, against the Florida Panthers four games to one. Bruce gives an excellent interview and you can see it in its entirety from around minute 14 to minute 30.

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 83: Don’t Look Now, the VGK Are for Real

Hockey Knights in Vegas is BACK!

Well well well. Prior to the season, pundits and media from all over the NHL had basically written off the Vegas Golden Knights for this season: too many goals left via free agency and trades; not enough fire power; and on and on.

Well, whaddaya know. The VGK started the regular season 3-0-0 with convincing wins over Colorado, St. Louis, and Anaheim. This year’s top line of Jack Eichel, Mark Stone, and Ivan Barbishev are the hottest in the NHL and Eichel is leading the league with 7 points through three games.

Eddie and Chris break down the VGK’s (not-so) surprising start top to bottom and share why this year’s team could be building for a long playoff run.

The VGK are off on their first road trip of the season, beginning with a visit to our nations capital and a reunion with former VGK goaltender Logan Thompson.

You won’t want to miss the hot takes! All this and much more on Episode 83 of Hockey Knights in Vegas!

Hockey Knight in Vegas Episode 81: The End and the Future

Hockey Knights in Vegas is BACK!

The Vegas Golden Knights’ defense of the Stanley Cup ended with a 2-1 loss to the Dallas Stars on Sunday. Lindsey, Chris, and Eddie break down what went wrong for the VGK and what, if anything, they could have done differently. No excuses here. Just a real in-depth analysis!

Now that the season is over, attention is focused on what the salary-cap-strapped VGK will do with all of its UFAs and RFAs. In other words, huge changes are coming to the roster next season and the crew breaks down the hard truth about who they expect to stay and, unfortunately, who will no longer be a Vegas Golden Knight.

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 79: Switch Flipped

Hockey Knights in Vegas is BACK!

Don’t look now, but the defending Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights have flipped
the switch and activated full playoff mode, putting the rest of the NHL on notice.

Eddie and Chris analyzethe VGK’s surprising first two wins in Dallas and what, if anything, Dallas
can do to avoid the golf course before May 1.

The playoff bracket contest is underway and along with 7 subscribers, the race for a dinner with
the HKV crew is heating up.

Episode 79 also features updates on the other 7 first-round matchups and bids farewell to
Chapman’s super-upset pick of the New York Islanders over Carolina.

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 75: Daddy’s Back! No, Not Ryan Reaves

Hockey Knights in Vegas is BACK!

Rumors of the demise of the defending Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights are greatly exaggerated! As the wicked winds of the rumor swirled in every direction, the VGK decided it was time to quell the pseudo-critics, flip the switch, and show to the Pacific Division and the rest of the NHL that they would be a problem.

More than just going 7-2-1 in their last 10 games, more than the emergence of their trade-deadline acquisitions,  the VGK are playing 100% to their identity. Chris and Eddie deep-dive into what’s different, what’s changed, whether there really is a switch, and where it may be located.

After Eddie’s scathing criticism of Anthony Mantha in Episode 74, the big Frenchman wakes from sleeping-giant status and finds chemistry on a line with (who else?) William Karlsson and Pavel Dorofeyev.

Episode 75 concludes with a fascinating debate on who the MVP of the VGK is. The boys want your opinion!
