What can the Blackjack dealer say?

Not true, Kevin.  Surrender is allowed (versus offered) at many.  It isn't advertised nor is it written on the felt.  Once I discovered it, I've used it often ever since.  Might depend on the particular game.  I remember it was not allowed on Blackjack Switch, which I used to play a lot.  Often when I 'surrendered' other players at the table were surprised, like "what was that?"  They didn't know about surrender.

Candy

Candy, your experiences are limited to the few casinos you've visited. Late surrender--after the dealer has checked for a blackjack--is offered, or available, or whatever semantics you want, at only a very few casinos, and then, only on their best/higher limit games.

One reason why it might be offered at the casino(s) where you play is suggested by your remark that you use it "often." You should be using it "seldom." In most games with standard rules, you only surrender hard 15 or 16 vs. a dealer 9 or 10, or even less than that (like only vs. a 10) with some rule sets. They would LIKE you to surrender more often than that.

The surrender option is rarely displayed on the felt.

Interesting how nicely this is filmed.

And since neither filming nor photography is allowed in a casino, it was obviously staged.

Bullshit. There are multitudes of recordings in casinos all over online. Quit your lying.

There are recordings made by concealed cameras, but your video is obviously not made by such a camera. Therefore: staged.

The filming angle, the steadiness of the video, and the fact that it was obviously filmed by someone standing a few feet away. The fact that the video was made at all--how did the person filming know that the player was going to be backed off?

I've seen hidden cam videos taken at the table. This looks nothing like those.

Only a total sucker would think this was real.

The casino itself seems real to me and I don't think a casino is likely to participate in a staged video like that. (Just speculating)

Watching the footage I do think that it is possible that it's from a concealed or disguised camera. Either mounted to a hat or concealed in a pair of glasses.

I agree it doesn't have the look of  typical hidden camera footage but I have seen some pretty similar videos from sunglass cameras and hat cameras.

The resolution is pretty good but the frame rate is kind of low which lends to my speculation that it is a small camera.

Only a liar would say the video isn't real.
