Name the song the line is from Part II

You know, Tony. That really was more than I want to hear. There’s nothing wrong with it for those who like it. It’s just not my cup of tea.

1962 works:

Here they have a lot of fun, puttin’ trouble on the run

I think that be Sam Cooke. Sounds like he's Twistin' The Night Away.

OK, I'll call your 1962, and raise a 1959:

Someday, someway, you'll realize that you've been blind.

Another line of lyrics. The line after that is the title:

Someday, someway, you'll realize that you've been blind
Yes, darling, you're going to need me again
__'_ ____ _ ______ __ ____

The male artist's initials were B.B.

I know the song and have the BB King recording of it.
Somehow, I don't think that your B.B. is short for BB King

"It's Just a Matter of Time," by Brook Benton.

How about "Chalk on the sidewalk"
I probably should be embarrassed that I remember that one:

Chalk on the sidewalk
Writing on the wall
Everybody knows it
I love Paul

It’s from Tall Paul, as sung by Annette Funicello when she was dating Paul Anka back in the 50s. As I recall, Paul really wasn’t very tall at all.

This one topped the US charts for two weeks in the spring of 1990. It also was a #1 hit in Canada, and a #2 hit in the UK:

Every word of every song that he sang was for you
In a flash he was gone, it happened so soon, what could you do?

Over the years, I found that many folks didn't realize this whole song was about a certain early rock and roll icon who was born in Tupelo, Mississippi.

From the time the icon, still a bit of a mama's boy, began his early singing career, up until his sudden, unexpected death, he had a powerful affect on his audience, especially the females:

Up in Memphis the music's like a heatwave
White lightening, bound to drive you wild
Mama's baby's in the heart of every school girl
"Love me tender" leaves 'em cryin' in the aisle
The way he moved, it was a sin, so sweet and true
Always wanting more, he'd leave you longing for

_____ ______ and that little boy's smile
_____ ______ with that slow southern style
A new religion that'll bring ya to your knees
_____ ______ if you please

Every word of every song that he sang was for you
In a flash he was gone, it happened so soon, what could you do?

I'll give it up a little later this afternoon if no one guesses it.

OK Got it - good choice

That's Alannah Myles - Black Velvet

Yes, I'm with you my love, it's the morning and just we two

Hi All,

Somebody’s gonna scold me for not knowing the artist. But the song is “Sunshine of your love”. Was it Eric Clapton?

This one raised a lot of money for a worthy cause in 1978 and 1979:

It's as high as a mountain, and harder to climb

It was Cream - so Clapton works!
