Name the song the line is from Part II

Is that "It's Yesterday Once More," by the Carpenters?

Si.

"Surely the things I ask
Can't be too great a task"
That’s “Venus” by Frankie Avalon. Nice one, Sue.

Next:

With eyes as black as coal
that look down in my soul
And starts a fire there
and then I lose control

That's Spanish Harlem. I remember mostly the 60s version by Ben E. King, but I think there have been several covers.

This one is from 1970:

She's really got a magical spell
And it's working so well
I just can't get away

Good Morning All,

That’s “Love grows where my Rosemary goes”. Weren’t they some one hit wonder group? I don’t recall the name.

A big hit in 1962:

Your love is worth all the gold on Earth
No wonder that I say…
That's Good Luck Charm, by The King himself.

Here's another from 1962. The first line was spoken; the second was sung:

The words you used to whisper low
No other love can ever bring again

Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) was performed by the British pop group Edison Lighthouse. The group didn't exist when the original recording was made by lead singer Tony Burrows and several studio musicians. When the song became a hit, Burrows realized that Edison Lighthouse would need a public face, so auditions were hurriedly arranged, and a band named The Greenfields was selected to perform with Burrows as Edison Lighthouse. They made their first public appearance as Edison Lighthouse a week after their audition.

Other bands occasionally filled in for The Greenfields, but, with Burrows as the front man, they were always billed as Edison Lighthouse.

The words you used to whisper low
No other love can ever bring again

This female singer was born in Atlanta in 1944. She began singing as a child, and still performs today. She is a member of the Rock and Roll, Country Music, Rockabilly, and Hit Parade Halls of Fame.

She earned the nickname "Little Miss Dynamite" for her ability to belt out a song despite her small stature (4’9” as an adult). In 1958, at age 13, she recorded a light-hearted Christmas song that became an annual holiday favorite.

In this song, the singer laments her loneliness following her lover’s goodbye.

Brenda Lee....All Alone Am I

"Your love dear, why'd you do me this way?"
That's a country AND pop song -- "Singin' the Blues."

I'm going to try this one line --

"Don't say she broke my heart"
