Name the song the line is from Part II

Wow, an early rock and roll classic. That's Donna, by Ritchie Valens. Good one!

Here's a piece of 1972:

Think of me and try not to laugh

That’s my favorite Rod Stewart song. They call it “You wear it well.”

Here’s an easy one:

I'd been this way since 1956

Ooooo, yeah. I held my nose, I closed my eyes,...I took a drink.

That would be Love Potion No. 9, originally done by (I think) The Clovers?

This one was a hit in 1957:

I can feel my heart go flip flip

sure it's not flip...flop ?

Good Morning All,

It’s really nice to see you posting here, Phil. Elvis Presley does say “flip, flip” in that one called “Too Much”. Good one, Jim.

Since we’re in the 50s:

When I get the paper, I read it through and through

Get a job !

stayin with the 50's

I got on a city bus and found a vacant seat
Well, I can’t resist a Chuck Berry song. That one is “Nadine”.

My jukebox is on 1964 this morning:

But parked in a rickety old garage is a brand new, shiny red Super Stock Dodge
The Beach Boys singin

The little old lady from pasadena !

Staying with 1964

Who's never weak but always strong

That'would be It Ain't Me, Babe, written and performed by Dylan. I think it actually turned out to be a bigger hit for the Turtles. Good one, jpc!

Some 1968:

Your looks intoxicate me

(Wasn't Little Old Lady From Pasadena a Jan and Dean song?)

It was a rhyming thing, Phil. The line before was Every time I kiss you sweet lips, so Elvis was pretty much forced to go with flip flip.

It was either that, or sing about kissing her sweet lops.
