Name the song the line is from Part II

Good Morning All,

I like that one, Jim. it’s “Wasted on the way” by CSN (was Y in there too?)

Everybody knows this (I think):
There's no telling where love may appear

That's gotta be Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime, made famous by Dean Martin in the 60s.

Here's another 60s tune:

I'll know, believe me, I'll know

"The Night Has a Thousand Eyes?"

You got it, Sue.

"You went away and left me long time ago,
Now you come back knockin' on my door"
Good Morning All,

I remember that one from a remake I hear once in a while. “I hear you knockin’”, I believe is the name. I just never caught the name of the artist. I think it was done by several though.

From 1959:

Just to see him smile makes my life worthwhile

Cyndee, it was Fats Domino who had "I Hear You Knockin'."

Yours is "To Know Him Is to Love Him," by the Teddy Bears. I remember this from around 1956 or so -- I was in high school, lol. There was a cover of this about 30 years later by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris, when they were all singing together.

I wonder if anyone knows my favorite all-time country song --

"There'll be flowers from those who'll cry when I go
and leave you in this old world alone"
Sorry Sue,

I have made a lot of word processor mistakes today. One was posting 1959 for “To Know Him is to Love him”. It was in my 1958 column, but you remember it from 1956 or so.
I guess Playa Cofi could have a wrong song on the 1958 jukebox. I’ll be more careful in the future.
Anyway I seem to recall you using your latest song a while back. I think it’s called “My Farewell Party”. I’ve heard it by Gene Watson.

A little more upbeat here from 1974:

You're gonna find your way to heaven is a rough and rocky road

Thanks, Cyndee. I may be wrong about the year of "To Know Him Is to Love Him." I do know I was in high school, which was 1955-1959.

Sorry if I used "Farewell Party" before. We've been doing this for so long, I can't remember!

And your latest one is "Stop & Smell the Roses," by Mac Davis. I think.

I've got nothing new to post, so go ahead if you have one ...
Here’s one from 1978:

The things you lean on are the things that don't last
