Name the song the line is from Part II

Is anybody playing today? I ‘m happy to give hints if you want.
Wow, this has been up for a whole day. So I’ll give you some hints and leave it up for just a few more hours.

This hit from 1966 went to #4 in the U.S. and #1 in Canada.
It was also used as a theme song for a sit-com set in Cleveland, Ohio.

I’ll add a few more lines:

Tradin' my time for the pay I get
Livin' on money that I ain't made yet
Gotta keep goin’
Gotta make my way
Gotta live for the end of the day
Oh well,

It looks like this one won’t do. It’s “5 O’clock World” by The Vogues. I’ll just leave it open for someone else to post one.
I would not have thought that one would not be guessed. The expert's night off.

My thoughts exactly, Phil.
Happy Halloween to all

Let's see if we can kickstart this baby.
This song is known by 2 names.
It was a hit in several countries.
The second unofficial name came from the lyrics.

That sure looks like “American Pie” by Don McLean to me, Tony. I don’t recall an alternate title. What was it?

Here’s a song from a 1964 show and then a movie:

A feeling deep in your soul
says you were half
now you're whole.

Alternate title was kinda what happened here - "The Day The Music Died"

Yours was People by Barbara. Great song!

This was a little earlier -

Our dreams have magic because
we'll always stay in love this way,

That’s “Our Day Will Come” by many artists. I think the big hit was done by Ruby “Somebody”. I just don’t recall.

Around the same time and also covered a lot:

Say you will, will be mi-i-ine
Forever and always, oh-oh, oh-oh
Don't think that I know that one.
