Name the song the line is from Part II

Well guys it looks like this isn’t happening. The song is “I Never Go Around Mirrors”. I hope somebody has one ready. I’ll leave it open.
From 1988. It hit #4 in the US and ,even though it wasn't released commercially in the UK, it hit #82 there just based on import sales alone. It was associated with a movie:

I've been meaning to tell you
I've got this feeling that won't subside
I look at you and I fantasize

I've been meaning to tell you
I've got this feeling that won't subside
I look at you and I fantasize

I'll leave a hint. It's a line, NOT from the song, but from the movie:

Nobody puts Baby in a corner.

Good night, folks.

That would be Hungry Eyes from Dirty Dancing!

************ NEW ***********

Some Seventies -

Some silicone sister with her manager mister told me I got what it takes
She said I'll turn you on sonny to something strong

That’s a good one, Tony. It’s Blinded By The Light, a 70s hit for Manfred Mann’s Earth Band.

Leaving it open.

Hey, is anyone home?

I'll go ahead with the lyrics I had to give up on earlier when I got interrupted. From 1987 (#1 US/ #4 UK):

My hands are tied, my body bruised
She got me with nothing to win
And nothing else to lose

Not home much this week - busiest three weeks in the last three years. Recession? What Recession?

Great song choice there Jim.

That is With or Without You, courtesy of Mr Bono, The Edge and the rest of the U2 Crew.
Great band - last time they played Vegas I came to see them.

****** NEW*********

I hope that this was a hit in the USA -

You find a nice bright corner and you sit right down,
Pick up your guitar and play

It seems strangely familiar, Tony. I hope I can think it up.

Edit: I used the wrong emoticon

Hi Cyndee

Here is a whole verse -

well nobody sees the minstrel boy as he sings his tale of woe
nobody sees him coming
nobody see him go
so hey there mister don't you look so sad
don't look so ill at ease
well I can play you any song you like
to cheer up that life you lead

Edit - I just checked and it barely squeaked into the Billboard 100 - although it did hit number 4 in England.

I'm heading out for a few hours so I'll post the answer at the bottom of this page in case anyone wants to move on

One Man Band by Leo Sayer

Oops. Missed this earlier. Didn't realize you had edited your post, Tony.

Still, all I can say is I don't know the song. Sorry.
