Name the song the line is from Part II

Good one, Tony.

Where Did Our Love Go, by the Supremes.

I guess 1964 was a good year:

I know you find it hard
To reason with me
But this time it's different
Darling, you'll see

A few more lines:

I want you back again
I want your love again
I know you find it hard
To reason with me
But this time it's different
Darling, you'll see

The song is about a failed relationship and the singer's attempt to win back his girl.

By 1964, this band had already developed a "bad boy" image.

Hmmm...not looking good for this one. This song was the band's first single to break into the US Top 40. The following year (1965), they had two #1 hits.

Here's another verse:

I wait as the days go by
I long for the nights to go by
I hear the knock on my door
That never comes
I hear the telephone
That hasn't rung

I'll give it up a little later if this doesn't do it.

Well, I guess that one didn't work.

It was Tell Me (You're Comin' Back To Me), by the Rolling Stones.

Let's try this one from 1970:

Tambourines and elephants are playin' in the band
Won't you take a ride on the flyin' spoon?

I think that is "looking out my back door".
I LOVE CCR! Your turn, Vegas777.
we never talked about it. But I here the blame is mine.
Ooh, that’s a good one. It’s “Do you remember” by Phil Collins.

One from early 1970s:

When I was a little boy
And the Devil would call my name
I'd say "Now who do ...
Who do you think you're fooling?"

Lots of my favourites this week -

Didn't see Tell Me - I love the stones.

This one was Paiul Simon - Love Me Like a Rock

Well, I guess I'd been in love before,
And once or twice I been on the floor,

There’s another by Paul Simon. That one’s “Late in the evening”.

1982 here:

So many have paid to see
What you think
You're gettin' for free
