The Democrats have given up on trying to get the Republiholes to negotiate because the Republiholes won't do so in good faith. They make unreasonable demands, like slashing Social Security and Medicare, and then when Democrats refuse to consider their outrageous demands, they tell the conservative propaganda outlets that the Democrats won't negotiate.

This isn't the first time this nonsense has happened. It happens every single year the RepubliQ are in control of the House.
