Biden wasn't referring to only ID restrictions---which, despite all the blather in this thread, aren't even the most significant or evil parts of the RepubliQ push to stop Blacks from voting. And Candy...don't put words in my mouth. I never said that Blacks were less capable. I said that SOME people will experience problems getting ID, and that those problems are primarily experienced by people of color. Thus, voting restrictions disproportionately affect minorities. That's their intention and purpose!

But you know what? You're perfectly free to indulge in the White-cracker nonsense that absolutely none of these voter suppression laws (in GA and elsewhere) are targeted at minorities. It's not about the Republicans wanting to win more elections. No siree Bob. It's about "election integrity." LOfuckingL.

Do you really believe that tommyrot that Fox News and the RepubliQ are feeding you? If so, I'm disappointed. You seemed to be one of the more reasonable conservatives here. But it appears that you've recently chugged the Kool-Aid.

I haven't watched Fox News in some 20 + years. They have nothing of interest to me. Is RepubliQ a news channel? I don't watch it either.

Where and how I was raised did inform how I view and treat other people. Looking at the way things are today, I feel very fortunate to have been so raised. No apologies from me on that subject.

Since you've repeated verbatim about half a dozen of Fox News' favorite talking points, I assumed that's where you get your "information." However, you certainly could have gotten a recycled version from somewhere else.

If your upbringing causes you to prefer Donald Trump to Joe Biden--as you appear to--that's nothing to be proud of. It also appears to have informed your racial views.

There does appear to be a broad correlation between racial attitudes and regional upbringing. Everyone I know who's a White person from the South views Black people as the scum of the earth and is still fighting the Civil War. Every White person I know who's from Texas makes jokes about shooting or running over Mexicans. It must come down to what your parents tended to say at the dinner table. It's hard to shake yourself loose from that, even decades later.

I think what makes bigots feel comfortable with themselves these days is that racism is no longer blatant and overt. It's subtle and often difficult to perceive unless you're its target. That enables said bigots to proclaim that it's no longer real--no longer a concern. And then people like you, Tommie-poo, Boiler, etc. get to attack those who say racism still exists---usually calling such people "liberal snowflakes" or "woke" or some other such shit.

Just yesterday, a Minneapolis cop gunned down a Black man who foolishly tried to run away after having been pulled over for driving with expired tags, and then being flagged for having an outstanding warrant. The guy was an idiot to try to flee, but tell me---do the cops shoot White idiots?

Hmm...looks like about a 9 to 5 White-to-Black ratio...even though the ratio of Whites to Blacks in the US population is about 9 to 2.

To put it another way, Blacks are about 2 1/2 times as likely as Whites to be shot and killed by cops.

However, I should have asked a slightly different question, in context of the latest incident. How many Whites are shot and killed while running away from cops after being stopped for a traffic violation?

Of course, it could just be that Minnesota's penalties for not renewing your vehicle registration are particularly harsh...

Blacks make up 13% of the population but according to US crime stats in 2019 blacks account for 26% of crimes & 50% of homicides. Their higher crime rates account for why they get shot.
