Ahhhhh, . . . New York's Fifth Avenue, . . . then and now

"As usual."

An astute observation, Don.

Had "Martin Shedlin" engaged me with a bit of courtesy in pointing out my general lack of knowledge, I'd have conceded that he was indeed correct, grammar has nothing to do with how murder and killing are defined in the legal world.  Because, I'm no legal scholar either.

As usual.

Getting back to the original topic - yesterday diblasio called on New Yorkers to support his drive for higher taxes in order to redistribute wealth

Wealthy New Yorkers are helping by redistributing their wealth by moving to other parts of the country. More people would have moved out except there aren't enough moving trucks.

Since when is that a problem for you?  You did cartwheels when Trump passed his blue-state SALT tax reform.   And how come you still live there?

I wish I was able to do cartwheels. But what does the SALT tax have to do with this.

We will move when we retire.

You mean you have a more lucrative carrer in High tax NYC as oppossed to low tax Sarasota?

And then when you retire you want to move somewhere that has low taxes with crappy schools and a job market that is solely aimed at taking care of retirees?

What a novel idea.

My 2 sons both left NYC several years ago, due to limited opportunities, crime, homeless, dirt, high housing costs & high taxes.

NyC schools are terrible.

Under diblasio it has gotten worse.

23 people shot this weekend including a mother & a 6 year old.

Diblasio calls it a peaceful weekend (he really said it)
