I agree with you on all those points actually. But you know somehow the criminals and psychos are going to get them. US loves their guns. Australia was more than happy give up their guns. US won't. Kind of goes back to the history of each country.

Exactly. I don't condone the violence and shootings. But I still want to know why there is not similar outrage about all of the shootings in Chicago? Why?

But to answer your dishonest and disingenuous question, the reason there "is not similar outrage" is that a MASS SHOOTING at a SCHOOL is not even remotely a similar incident to an individual shooting (or series of shootings) in a large urban area.

Making it a severe criminal offense to sell a gun to anyone who hasn't undergone a thorough background check would be a start. So would elevating any offense committed with an illegally obtained gun to a Class A felony (some states do this; guess which, red or blue).
I don't accept the "We can't stop it, so we may as well do nothing" argument in any context. I think that we could severely lessen the number of gun deaths in this country if we stifled gun love and gun culture.
