Just as when a house burns and the asset and wealth is lost forever, the wages not earned will never be replaced or regained.  That opportunity is gone.

Just as when a house burns and that asset and wealth is lost forever, wages lost due to our economic shut down will never be replaced or regained.  That opportunity is gone.  Those people could work later in life for more years than they planned, or they can survive will fewer dollars after retirement.
