Boiler I Need Your Advice...

Gasp!!!!!  Kevin said "your kind."

Does "your kind" out Kevin to a thus far undisclosed prejudice/bias?  Anyone named Jerry?  Can "ice" be referring to iced tea, favorite beverage of Southern ladies lunching?

Most mysterious of all, the number "33".

So, anyone who shares an opinion (or birthdate? a football jersy number?) with Jerry Ice 33 is a "kind"???

And this thread started out with a request for recommendations for food, lodging, entertainment during a vacation in Mexico.   Hmm.

Candy

And yet, Candy, you're continuing the "discussion" in this direction yourself.

JerryIce33 may or may not be related to his real name. Who cares? By his "kind," I meant the conspiracy theory-loving Trump-licking conservitards who infest this forum and all the other such people who despoil this country and make the planet a worse place to live.

I responded to Mark's question because a) he was asking it of a person who called him a scumbag for the way he enjoyed himself in Las Vegas, and b) he was asking a person who has steadfastly professed his white-hot hatred of Mexicans (among other people of color) about vacation ideas for...Mexico. So it was unlikely any advice he got would be worthwhile.

Kevin just doesn't like when I treat him like he treats everybody else here. (taste of his own medicine)  He talks down to everybody here all the time.  What gives him that right?  LVA should have banned his garbage long ago.  I don't agree with a lot of Mark and PJ's stances but they usually lay out their arguments solidly without talking down to people. (BTW Mark, we need a Baby update from last trip!)   Kevin is just arrogant and thinks WAY too highly of himself.  Just a pompous jackass that pretends he cares about classes of people he has never crossed paths with.  Maybe it is from all the time he has in the glorified study halls he runs babysitting the kids that talk back to him that sets him off.   It probably sends him home angry at the world which is why he spends so much time here then spewing his venom at everybody.  Whomever nicknamed him LAM couldn't have done it more appropriately.

I'm smarter than you.

I'm a better person than you.

I affiliate with people who are trying to make this country a better place to live--unlike you.

That's why I talk down to you.

Stalker hasn't actually discussed anything in years--not here, anyway. He posts random Facebook propaganda dogshit, demands that everyone view it, and then screams at and calls a liar anyone who doesn't completely and instantly agree with it.

That ain't discussion. That's bullying.

Mark ask Boiler a question on a vacation to Mexico, simple enough! Then the class ‘ know it all’ has to chime in and try to destroy on something nobody asked or wants his opinion! Kevin, if you have helpful information Mark would probably respect your thoughts. Oh no, you comment simply too start trouble! Maybe just once ‘butt out’!

I explained why Boiler is the last person anybody should ask for Mexico vacation advice. It's like asking a member of the KKK where the best soul food restaurant in town is.

Bullying?? - yeah, Kevin, you know ALL about bullying - and lying

One measure of a man is admitting when he's wrong.

Mark, let me know if you need advice on where to stay on Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres.  Frankly, I don't know how to do a private message to discuss budgets, ect, but I'm more than happy to.  To stay on the best beach (Playa Norte), it'll cost you a minumum of $200 per night.  To stay nearby, with no view, maybe $90 per night for a simple but clean and airconditioned place.  Of course, one can spend much more than $200 per night, but it's DEFINATELY not needed for a great trip.

In December, I'm staying in a 1100 sq foot place wonderful place with a magnificent view, small kitchen, 4 balconies, but no pool and no swimmable beach.  It's 0.7 miles from the great beach, 1/8 of a mile from a ton of great restaurants.  We do have a hot tub sized unheated plunge pool, which is the perfect temp in December.  This place costs me $150 per night including taxes.

I always rent a golf cart which is an unneeded luxury, as it costs about $350 for the week.  Taxis are cheap if you want to cruise 5 miles south.  I like to move around all day long, so I get a cart, but it's by no means needed.

I apologize to Mark. Even a senile racist Trumper is capable of providing good advice in certain very limited circumstances.

It's quite possible that Boiler doesn't know that Mexico is inhabited by Mexicans.

Actually you are none of the above.  You definitely have less $ than me though.  That one is a guarantee.

Don't you have any friends you can talk with after running study halls on days you sub?  Seeing is how you have to come to this board every day and vent your garbage to literally no one that agrees with you.  You'd never do this to anybody face to face here - we all know that.  You definitely wouldn't do it to me if you met me.  Kevin the behind-the-keyboard tough guy.  And oh btw, he is smarter than everybody else here too.  Just ask him....

I have been researching Isla Mujeres for the last few days since you recommended it. From what I can tell, it looks cheaper than Cancun and more authentic. Am I correct in that conclusion? Yeah, I'd love some recommendations on places to stay.

In Cancun, the all-inclusive was looking appealing because food and drinks appear to be expensive in the hotel zone but from what I have seen on Google it looks like there are lots of cheap dining options on Isla Mujeres. My only fear is would there be enough to keep a 27-year-old entertained there? I could spend all week on the beach drinking and relaxing but baby craves non-stop adventure and excitement. As much as I'd like to pretend I can still keep up with her, the reality is she is going to need a lot of fun things to do and see to keep her happy.

Perhaps a 6-day trip spending three in Cancun and three on Isla Mujeres might work out for us? That way I'd have 3 days to run her battery down so I could enjoy three laid-back days with her.
