No you dont.
If the police order you to back away and you instead move forward and confront the officer he has every right to physically push you back and you have no right to fight him off.
Protestors better learn a lesson from the "Me Too" movement. The legitimate issues of harrassment and rape ultimately got buried by people elevating petty incidents of cat-calling to rape and sexual abuse. And that was sad for what was an important movement.
You are seeing an effort now were protestors are capturung every confrontation with cops on their iphone and reporting it as police violence....even if it isn't. This incident is one example.
Thats not constructive to the imporant issue the protests are addressing. Its actually the oppositte of that.
