Tom, you idiot, you can't POSSIBLY know what Fetterman can and can't comprehend. But just because YOU can't comprehend how someone with a disability that makes it hard for him to talk can still quite easily be in full command of his faculties, and you're still deep in the throes of your Biden obsession, doesn't mean that ANYTHING you say is even remotely true. You're the one with the real cognitive impairment, dude.
I saw the debate. Fetterman was articulate and spoke intelligently. But because he had a stroke and there was closed captioning, you think he was having mental problems. Idiots like you have, since time began, equated disabilities with mental impairment.
It's just another of the many, many ways you're a bigot.
Let's just hypothetically disregard Fetterman's policy / issue positions ( and admittedly, no, I don't agree with them). More importantly, any rational human who observed his debate with Oz couldn't help but feel empathy and compassion for this candidate's condition. If he were a stone-cold conservative and offered positions that I'd be more apt to side with, I'd feel the exact same way about his performance and potential fitness for office strictly from a physiological / neurological perspective. Completely discounting the fact that I disagree with his ideological stances, I sincerely feel sorry for this guy. Further, it makes a casual observer angry with the dog-eat-dog political spaceship that allows these kind of situations to occur. It ain't right.
A US Senator obviously has to be able to communicate effectively to represent constituents, and if he isn't able to make some miraculous improvement from assorted means soon, he'll be unable to accomplish that office requirement. It might be a moot point now post-debate; Oz's candidacy and poll rankings have been significantly boosted (no, I don't know how accurate said polls might be). I'd be concerned about the people and political machine backing this poor guy in his current condition ...they are seemingly disrespectful of the people of Pennsylvania, themselves, and primarily Fetterman himself. It makes one also wonder about the candidate's own self-analysis, too. I understand the money influences that the DNC had invested in this candidacy in an important electoral state...they apparently couldn't or elected not to address his physical condition more quickly after his stroke; a mid-stream change might have been logistically impossible, granted. It's a shame, and again, if he were a conservative candidate in the same physical condition I'd have the same opinion and would want him out of there as a viable candidate.
@Kevin..His current communicative disability appears severe enough to limit his near-term effectiveness as a candidate and/or office holder. From a humanity standpoint, I have compassion for the guy in his condition; I don't see how he could possibly compete now. Do you, honestly? He was 'articulate'? I disagree, but so be it.
