Georgia Republipigs pass Jim Crow 2.0

Historically Georgia notroiously makes people in Democrat disticts wait in line for up to eight hours in order to cast their ballot in person.     Nothing in the new law alleviates that - in fact, it gets rid of drop off boxes and makes mail-in votes more difficult to fill out ensuring those lines will be even longer.      And you cant give those people a bottle of water?   Because?    Thats voter fraud?

No thats Jim  Crowe...and thats the Republican party.

BB, I've been thinkibg the same thing.  If we go out there with food and water are the storm troopers who went to the capitol going to be out there with their assault rifles ready to mow us down?

Not a single person arrested at the capital was arrested for treason, sedition or insurrection. Not a single person there had a gun.

So there were no storm troopers.

The arrests were for the same as the people who were arrested on a daily basis in Portland & Seattle.

Kevin Lewis comments:

"I for one would like to set up a food truck with free BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and ice-cold Dr. Pepper for all voters, and if anyone tried to hassle me, I'd deploy my Second Amendment rights...y'all."

What is stopping Kevin Lewis from doing so, . . . at least for some voters ?    Oh, and please post photos for folks in this forum.

I'm not sure what Don is asking, but not nearly interested enough to find out.

Only a complete idiot would equate the peaceful BLM protests with the armed assault on the Capitol.

Only a complete idiot would "report" that none of the Capitol insurrectionists had guns. In fact, hundreds of them were armed to the teeth.

Only a complete idiot would be ignorant of the fact that many of the insurrectionists have, in fact, been arrested and charged with sedition.

Only a complete idiot would continue to follow Trump and cheer on the people who tried to overthrow the government, acting on his orders.

Tommie-poo has clarified for us whether or not he is, in fact, complete.

Lam prefers to stick with the false liberal narative than believe the facts

Blm riots caused billions in damages & hundreds of police were injured, many now have permanent disabities.

The FBI has said there were no guns at the capital.

Nobody has been charged with treason, insurrection or sedition.  Lam is welcome to supply the number of people charged with the above.

Don is probably wondering who would be cooking the BBQ sandwiches.  And would this be done at every voting precinct?  And who pays for the groceries?  And how does that apply to Kevin's 2nd Amendment rights?

I'm wondering too, because I missed this story and have no idea what it is all about.  Sounds like Georgia has never implemented early voting, which would greatly shorten the lines on actual voting day.

The long lines are by design - and you wont find them in Republican precincts

Since you missed the story, I'll fill you in.

In 2005, when most vote-by-mail voters were Republican, Georgia Republicans made no-excuse mail-in voting legal, claiming it was the most secure way to vote.

In 2020, people of color in Georgia began using no-excuse mail-in voting.

In 2021, Georgia Republicans eliminated no-excuse mail-in voting. And made it illegal to give food or water to voters standing in polling. Of course, the longest lines are always in the urban areas. It is absolutely a Jim Crow law.

Don may or may not be a racist, but for sure racism is not a deal killer for him. If racist laws elect the people he wants, Don is all-in for that. Decent people, on the other hand, don't think that way.

The number of voting locations & voting booths are decided by the local city/county. In this case it was up to atlanta to create more machines and locations.

Tommie-poo should really be the object of our pity for his complete ignorance. But he doesn't get mine, because he knows damn well that the lack of access to voting in heavily Black districts in Georgia is deliberate, and due to systemic racism, of which he heartily approves.
