Here we go again with a ridiculous sports/gender argument

One of college women's basketballs best players, if not the best, complains that the NIL endorsement money that female college athletes are getting is less than the men.  She complains about an inequity of facilities for women and men at the NCAA tournament.

She fails to grasp that fans prefer to watch a game which is played one foot above the rim, vs the women's game which is played one foot below the rim.  Womens basketball gets 80% fewer fans at games, and the tickets price is 20% of the cost of men's basketball.  Almost 100% of female college teams must be subsidized by male sports to survive.  ESPN might as well start showing the women's ticker scores in pink, so everyone knows right up front to ignore it.

No one watches your games!  When women start generating big revenues, then you'll get big time facilities and money.  In the meantime, you'd better start jumping higher and running faster, because that's what viewers want.  What a stupid and worn out argument this women brings up.

I enjoy women's sports because I enjoy looking at women. Your typical conservative male enjoys watching other males perform. That's why the number one conservative male fantasy is being cucked.

You know who doesn't get the millions of dollars from College sports revenue?  The athletes that people pay to see.    Pretty said when the coach makes 20 million/year and all the players get it is a free liberal arts degree.

If you paid the players, that would be communism PJ. Every good capitalist knows you make money by denying others the fruits of their labor.

She's compaining about the lack of the private sector spending on female college atheletes sale of their likeness, which is now allowed.  Follow the money.  If no one pays attention to these female athletes and their below the rim performances, then there are few companies willing to spend money on advertising with these athletes.

Women's tennis is a different animal.  Many believe, me included, that it's more fun to watch women's tennis than mens tennis.  Because women's tennis is watched widely, they get plenty of money in both tournament purses and advertising dollars.  That's perfect and how it should be.

No one pays attention to certain artists, and those folks starve.  Are we to argue that one should make a fine living painting even though no one is willing to buy their stuff?

Boiler, do you watch male or female beach volleyball? 

Your "above the rim" metaphor is stupid, because basketball is played "below the rim" 99% of the time in men's basketball; the 1% is when somebody dunks. And if you're any kind of basketball fan, you know that dunking isn't a big part of the game--it's just for show. The truth is that women's basketball is just as exciting to watch as men's basketball--if you know anything about the game, that is. It appears that you don't.

Of course, this is just the "Boiler hates women" screed wrapped up in a new bow.

Women's BB is atrocious.  I coach an 8th grade boys team that could easily destroy the top HS varsity girls teams.  Boys HS varsity teams can beat most D1 women's teams.  We've been through this before.  I could grab 4 guys from my gym and beat WNBA teams right now and all we did was play D2 and D3 in college and we are all in our 40s now.  Anybody that knows BB knows this already.  Kevin has already proven he knows nothing about sports in other threads.  Just leave it at that.  

Kevin, I have been reading a bunch of threads lately and it does appear that David is whipping you in most of them since he got back from vacation and had enough with you.....Charles hasn't even had to pop in to really school you.
