''I am a Viet Nam veteran''- David Miller

Are you really THAT stupid?

How about the Viet-Nam war was built on a lie? Much like Bush's Iraqi War.

WW2 vets came home and built America.

Korean War vets just wanted to forget the shit they saw and much of America didn't really care about a ''Police Action''.

My father graduated high school in 1943.  He enlisted in the Navy immediately, as the good young back then did.  He passed his physical and completed boot camp.  Prior to being sent to Europe, he failed a physical.  The doctor was convinced that my dad had cancer.  My father lived until he was 76 years of age.  That doesn't change the fact that he voluntarily enlisted.

My father put his life on the line.

Also, my mom's brother enlisted and was on Ford Island when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.  He survived at a later date when his PBY was shot down.  Two of the six on the plane died.  My mom's sister's husband enlisted after the age that he was eligible to be called.  He did training in southern California under Patton, and did his tour in Africa.  My dad's sister did not enlist.

Gee. Such a patriotic family.

Ever wonder what your heroic family members would think of your blind devotion to a cowardly draft dodger?

Still waiting - tell us about your military service, toad, that is if you can find time when you are not being insulting.

I'm still waiting for an answer why a ''Viet-Nam Veteran'' thinks that some dope on TV thinks a wounded in combat, decorated  American veteran that still serves her country in the US Senate would '' find/found her comments unfit and a lie.''

Especially when you slobber over a lying, cheating, lazy draft dodger.

As far as my personal business, I'll keep it that. Until I choose, slimy polywag.

Candy, what you may (incredibly, but still) not realize is that WWII and the Korean war had much more of a moral justification than the Vietnam war. Our soldiers also behaved much better in those first two wars than they did in Vietnam.

People didn't engage in protests against the Vietnam war because they were enjoying themselves. They truly thought we didn't belong in Vietnam. And eventually, the powers that be agreed.

For what it's worth, I think we should have either fought the war to win it--in which case it would have been over in about three weeks--or gotten the hell out of there. I disagree with the stigmatization of Vietnam vets that occurred after the war. They were just pawns.

Did you boo and spit on soldiers returning from Vietnam?   I hope not.  The protesters picked the wrong targets.  Even Hanoi Jane has apologized, to a degree.

I don't know David Miller or Boilerman (or anyone else here) personally.   News flash:  people who post on message boards will not always think alike.  But the civilized among us understand this and don't keep harping and monopolizing every thread with repetitive begging others to say "OK, I agree, you rock", etc.

This was supposed to be in response to Vegas Todd's post about me taking a shine to David or Boilerman.  It was an ugly one, but I can take it.

I see the toad has weaseled out of my question about his "military service". As expected. He is just an alligator mouth with a hummingbird ass. He would not make it out of boot camp.

''Did you boo and spit on soldiers returning from Vietnam?''

No. My ''bone spurs'' kept me from doing that.

Besides my MOH was trying not to get STD's.

trunt.

Once again, Kevin spouts off about something he knows nothing about.  Being a "professional student" does not avail one much of an opportunity to serve one's country - apparently all Kevin "knows" about the military he learned while attending Liberal Univ.
