I got my test results at the end of the day today. I am negative. :)
It only took seven days.

Glad with the negative test, but damn 7 days is a bit long to be in limbo.

I tested negative twice, once in June, and the results took three days; then again in October, and the results took just a bit over 24 hours. It might depend on how sophisticated the data reporting system is, the number of labs available to process the test samples, and the type of test kit used. Our Trumper town is fortunate to be in Oregon, where more resources have been devoted to testing since the early days of the pandemic than in most other states. If our town was in, say, Kansas, maybe I'd still be waiting for the results.
Of course, if I lived in a small Trumper town in Kansas, I would have killed myself long ago, but I digress. Congrats, Mark, on dodging this bullet.
Tested twice, negative twice. My hospital/clinic for my cancer treatment would NOT allow me into their office with out a recent covid-19 test! The staff looked at me as if I was a plague carrier! I went back to my bat cave.Appointment was wasted that day. Guilty until proven innocent was the theme, that day.No fever and no symptoms. I got tested that same day, but the site was closed for LUNCH from noon until 1 PM.
2020 has been a nightmare for all of us.

You guys should have argued for Trump having influence over these people, yet you argued againts it and now you complaine.
How funny.
Actually, I didn't get my official test results until yesterday at 1:22 PM. On Tuesday morning I called, and they returned my call Tuesday evening. They acted like it was an incredible hassle but they gave me my results over the phone. They didn't actually update their system with results I could print out and show people until yesterday. Oh well, got an extra day off work out of it.
They seem to be holding their negative test results back to balance the positive numbers. That keeps them from going into the red status in our state which requires them to impose more restrictions. So, yes, in trump country the turnaround time on a COVID test is apparently 8 days.

Mark, how did you know that they were holding back positive numbers?
We obviously need more government workers. The ones that we have suck, so more will solve the problem. I'm guessing that you're going to tell me that you got your test with private workers. Then who's pulling the strings...........private or public?
Or maybe people who suck at governing should stop runing for executive offices...and people should stop voting for them if they do.
Holcomb has actually been decent on COVID. His hands are tied like most governors. Trump outsourced the pandemic response and vaccination plan to states and counties that have no infrastructure, personnel, or experience in handling the response and volume. Sure beats him taking on a role in running something.
Anyway a new chapter begins today....and if 2009 is any lesson then the people who ruined the economy and health response will complain about how Democrats aren't cleaning up their mess fast enough. I'm cool with that.

I don't know for certain, but they sent me the actual sheet from the lab via email Wednesday morning after I asked for proof of the negative test on Tuesday. Note the collection date. Note the report date. They were in receipt of the results of the actual lab work two days later but the result didn't get reported in the state of Indiana's system until Wednesday the 20th at 1:22 PM. (I have the timestamp on my phone from my results notification.)
Either they are intentionally holding back reporting or they are grossly incompetent. Of course, you have hardcore Republican Trumpers running this part of the state so they learned from their hero the way you deal with COVID is to manipulate the data.
(I edited out my personal data)
