If a good vaccine is not found, how long are you willing to hide?

Boiler, it is odd, that you should bring this up. It is only because of the incompetence of your guy that we aren't ready to move on like the rest of the first world. Unfortunately, Trump never has got a handle on COVID-19  because he is incapable of seeing beyond his constant need for gratification. You might want to consider not complaining about a situation you helped contribute to by voting for this mentally ill idiot.

Collectively we are all stuck with the current plan of bend over and spread your cheeks until Trump is gone in January. Even then, it will take several months if not a year or more to clean up Trump's mess.  I expect conservatives to complain the whole time. They never take responsibility for their messes. They just wait for someone else to clean then them up. Then they complain about how that person cleans up their mess.

Indeed.

It is an example of the effects produced by one afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome: a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the point at which they will abandon all logic and reason.

Stages of TDS:

  1. "In the first stage of the disease, victims lose all sense of proportion. The president-elect's every tweet provokes a firestorm, as if 140 characters were all it took to change the world."
  2. "The mid-level stages of TDS have a profound effect on the victim's vocabulary: Sufferers speak a distinctive language consisting solely of hyperbole."
  3. "As TDS progresses, the afflicted lose the ability to distinguish fantasy from reality.

[Wikipedia traces its roots to "Bush Derangement Syndrome" -- a term first coined by the late conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer back in 2003. The condition, as Krauthammer defined it, was "the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency -- nay -- the very existence of George W. Bush."]

Hilarous to see Good ol' Donslide lapping the orange under-bag of trump.

What is delusional is how David and Don think a last-place finish (by most metrics) among first world countries and most 3rd world "shit holes" is acceptable and no reflection on Trump or the conservative approach. Trump has made American citizens unwanted modern-day lepers in most of the world as it reopens and David and Don are ok with that.

Or could it be they simply think socialist governmental and medical systems are inherently better at handling nationwide pandemics and therefore Trump shouldn't be held accountable?

Trump said yesterday that COVID-19 only has a negative impact on one percent of the people that get it. Yet 20-25% have symptoms so severe they require hospitalization. Trump doesn't even have a very basic grasp of the facts some seven months later and that is perfectly acceptable to David and Don. According to them, it is deranged to think Trump hasn't done a good job on COVID-19. I think they need to pop the bubble they are living in.

Trump Love Syndrome--a condition by which a person abandons all reason, logic, morality, and decency in the course of worshipping the traitorous, evil, moronic Donald Trump.

The fact that you disagree with it makes it one of the most informative and accurate posts I have ever read.

Not that you count for much one way or the other.

Poor old DonDiego is presently in the process of aging quietly, . . . yet steadily.  And he is not yet at the stage where he requires Mark to inform poor old DonDiego as to what poor old DonDiego thinks.  He is not angry or offended, . . . it's just Mark, after all.

Nonetheless, poor old DonDiego thanks Mark for his kind concerns over DonDiego's health.

Poor old DonDiego has already beaten cancer once, . . . with no assistance from Mark.  It's a matter of finding a good local physician and getting regular medical check-ups appropriate to one's age.

He has just recently survived a 300-mile relocation across the State of Tennessee with no apparent ill effects.  He expects to soon establish a relationship with a local physician to resume these prophylactic regular check-ups.

Again, . . . Mark needn't worry for poor old DonDiego.  Poor old DonDiego has heard  "stories", . . . especially out of countries with government-run heath-care systems, . . . about excessive waits for necessary medical care.  Thanks to DonDiego's foresight in retaining excellent health insurance through his former employer's kind graces, he should do OK.

Beyond that, teechur and DonDiego are growing old together quite comfortably, . . . especially compared to life in many less pleasant locations around the world.

Oh, . . . for what it's worth, . . . DonDiego expects whatever President Donald Trump is doing with respect to US health care is unlikely to cause him significant harm.

DonDiego has good health insurance, apparently.

However, many people were unable to obtain any health insurance before Obamacare was passed. Presently, approximately 23 million people are insured through Obamacare.

I would ask DonDiego to imagine how he would have handled his cancer if no health insurance had been available to him. Then he might be less critical of the horrors of government-run health care.

DonDiego pats himself on the back for his foresight but does not consider what might have happened if the firm for which he worked had gone out of business, or if the insurance company that covered him had refused to pay for his treatment, or if copays had accumulated to the point where they would have bankrupted him. These are all-too-common occurences within our glorious private for-profit healthcare system.

Kevin Lewis comments:

"DonDiego pats himself on the back for his foresight but does not consider what might have happened if the firm for which he worked had gone out of business, or if the insurance company that covered him had refused to pay for his treatment, or if copays had accumulated to the point where they would have bankrupted him. These are all-too-common occurences within our glorious private for-profit healthcare system."

Why does DonDiego get a "feeling" that Kevin Lewis would like DonDiego's former employer to have gone bust.

Poor old DonDiego planned and lived his professional life as best he could, and things worked out to his benefit.  In fact, poor old DonDiego had little to no say in whether his employer were to go bust.

One can only control the things which one can control.
