It takes 7-10 years to build a refinery. Why should a company invest a billion if according to the Biden gang (granholm/butting) it may be shut down. 

Expansion will not happen until the oil companies have a govt that will work with them & not against them. 

What refinery did Biden shut down that would serve as the precedent for your argument?   And if you can't name one can we safely just call BS on your argument?

It take 2 years to build a refinery.  It take 7-8 years to get past the Liberals.  There has been 1 major refinery built since 1977.

PJ, Libs and Biden have attempted to shut down every new refinery and every refinery expansion in my lifetime.  I'm still waiting for Libs to talk about why Libs claim that Canada Tar Sands oil will be exported.

Recent US Refinery builds and expansions

Why will the tar sands oil be exported?  It already is.  

- The gulf refinieries are already going at 95% capacity which is not sustainable.    So they cant handle more crude then they are already getting.    Thats why the crude oil itself is being shipped unrefined to Europe from those  ports.   Thats already happenng with today's supply.      You want to increase the crude going there?  Fine.  Its not going to get refined in those ports and it wont go to US gasoline supply.    In short, it would do nothing for your price at the pump.

So its just a question if you believe the negligible amount of world supply created by the Canadian tar sands is worth the ongoing environmental disaster its creating.  I would say no.
