I still don't see any link making your point about Joe Biden and liberals somehow stopping refineries from coming online.   I only see a sentence that ends with a question mark.

PJ, the new refineries built since 1977 amount to less than 2% of our total refining capacity.  I know that large numbers confuse Liberals, but now that I've explained it in percentages, hopefully you'll be able to understand this.

Now, we need Lithium to produce batteries if we are goin to replace oil, yet this is of no concern to the very Liberals who demand that we get off of oil.  It's one or the other, and which is it?

The last article I can find in the NY York times addressing Lithium was 14 months ago.  Lithium and nickel, to a slightly lesser degree, need to be increased in production.  Not increase by 10%, 50%, 100%,or 200%, yet far more....and you Libs don't even understand the solution.

How about one of you guys tell us how we are going to mine this stuff and how long it will take?

Here's a statement from Captain Obvious:  Capacity is measured in units of capacity - not how many new buildings and sites were permitted.  We were up double digits in 10 years...and then collapsed with the pandemic for the reasons I already stated.   Not because of the reasons you cant seem to find any proof for,

PJ argues that no one cares if it costs more to refine oil or transport oil.  It only makes gasoline more expensive.  Most folks care about gasoline prices.

If the Biden gang is saying they will eliminate fossil fuels in 10 years, why should companies invest billions to restart or expand capacity?

Since the refinery capacity collpased under Trump I cant imagine why you would ascribe it to "Joe Buiden and gang.  ANd since your argument took the form of a question instead of a verified statement from a refinery agreeing with you I think we can safely say you have a big, fat nothing to intelligently contribute to this topic.

And yeah, we have to get our lithium from Jupiter. Therefore, we should drive all them electric cars into the ocean and triple down on our fossil fuel consumption. How could that possibly end badly?

With the pandemic recession capacity dropped, but pj's chart shows that capacity continues to drop as there is no incentive to invest in increased capacity.

As posted earlier the biden gang wants everyone in electric cars, but at the same time are fighting to mine lithium & stop other plans.  Liberals expect green energy to magically appear.
