Aw-aw-aw !!!

Aw-aw-aw !!!

#9...#9...#9...#9...#9...#9...#9...#9...
Apparently, the number of RepubliQ defectors is actually increasing with each successive vote.
Today the GQP will try for #12.
Pathetic.
10 counts ! 11 counts !! TWELVE COUNTS !!!!!
Aw - aw -aw !

These dumbasses will get to it eventually. Just be patient, boys and girls. Or are you all suggesting that you've already been patient on this issue? *l*
Underlying all this Speaker delay scenario is the fact that there is handful of true R rightists that detest McCarthy and, from my perspective, some of those reasons are justified. He's an establishment guy .lobbyist masthead, etc..but they're over the line now wirh this delay. When they do eventually coalesce and vote for his Speakership, I just hope they hold his feet to the fire regarding what he vowed to obtain those votes..option to vacate, etc..a bridge...a statue..50 virgins...whatever. Time to move on and screw up somethin else.
Charles the problem is that he will be an incredibly weak speaker now. All it takes because of the concessions made is one wackadoodle Republican deciding they would rather the US default on its debt than raise the debt ceiling and he can't stop it. If you love your 401k, I say buckle up because default is now a done deal.
Then if you like Republicans winning you have to ask yourself how is giving the 20 or so extremist minority Republicans (most of them are 2020 election deniers and have expressed support for the Jan 6th insurrectionists) more power than the rest of the Republicans in the House going to work? Republicans didn't get their red wave because of their candidates extremism. It doesn't seem smart to put the guys who lost the last election for you in charge.

You dont need a strong speaker if you dont plan on legislating. And they dont plan on legislating.

Agreed, McCarthy is a scumbag, with all the character and fortitude of a wet Kleenex, but he's THEIR scumbag. The sad truth is that they don't have anyone sane and level-headed to nominate, and they're not about to put one of the crazies up there. They should just settle for McCarthy, with the implicit, or maybe the explicit promise that they can push him around--the puppet Speaker.
I'm happy to see this clusterfuck. Every day this drags on, the RepubliQ demonstrates their inability to govern.
And if they want to offer those 50 virgins, they'd better keep Gaetz chained to his chair.
In response to all, yes it's time they ended this small picture for the overall bigger pictures for the R's in general. That seems obvious to all , other than the few remaining holdouts. The thing is..now they've voiced their objections to this guy and why..they got that info out; time to move on and do something positive for us hooligan Americans. If they are able to cut even a small portion of the umbilical cord that McCarthy has thrived on / operated under then maybe their holdout efforts will have produced something positive for R's and the political system as a whole (don't hold your breath..since money talks and the rest walks in DC). I harbor my own sets of doubt about any of that. We'll see.
You guys brace for all those committee investigations now, which is among the subsets of promises McCarthy made to get a few more votes in his favor.
