Incompetent Republicans can't even name a Speaker of the House.

I think he was weak before all this, Mark. In other words, he's going to be very uncomfortable personally if he's forced to be a stronger Speaker..out of habit. I also think the RNC Chair (Ronna McDaniel) has done a very poor job during her tenure; she's hopefully gonna get voted out / canned. If one looks at the election outcomes, the RNC procedural approaches to "winning" those elections has been very noncompetitive. McCarthy has to shoulder paert of that election loss blame, too ( along with several thousand others). All these folks go to DC as a rep / Senator and they either become complacent with their job perks or poisoned in some other fashion..they sacrifice some of the so-called ideals that accompanied them when they initially showed up. That little taste of comfy power is a component of the poisonous mixture for many ( that applies to the D's, too).

As I alluded to above ( 2 or 3 times in previous posts in this thread), these holdouts need to focus on the bigger picture and vote for this guy...and then squeeze his nuts with fervor if he wavers after placement.

Since it's a common name, I'll ask: Is this the same David Miller who believed that the Democrats would get crushed by a Red Wave? And who believed that Mexico was going to pay for the wall? And who believed that Covid was going to disappear like a miracle? And on and on?
