The cookie cutter approach has probably been a failure. 52% of the counties in America do not have a single case of Covid 19. Close the hot spots but the rest of folks need to go back to work.

Mommy states like Germany, South Korea, Australia, and most of the Nordic countries have much lower death tolls and are going to be able to reopen much quicker than us. It turns out that quarantining everywhere really works.

Iowa has about 1/16 the population of South Korea. They have about an equal number of Covid cases. Because freedom!

Yet Cuomo released numbers that quarantining folks to there homes are something like 62% of the New York cases.

New York has gone thru hell on this virus.

The mommy states quarantined near 100% and spent massively on testing and tracing. 

We are at 70,000+ deaths. South Korea, 1/7 our size, has 256.

Not arguing with you at all, South Korea did an unbelievable job containing the virus.

Even if you accept the 52% of all counties figure, which I don't, those are poor and rural, thinly populated areas. I doubt very much if collectively, they comprise 10% of the population.

Moreover, those areas tend to have older populations and often, very poor health care. So they are very much at risk, and in no way immune to the virus.

You struggled to form an articulate sentence in making whatever your point was about five rich Democrats, so I'll ignore that part of your post.

I have not seen or heard of anything your democrat business owners have done any different than any other corporation companies or leaders.

I don't think any of the people you named are agitating for states to reopen. However, dozens of REPUBLICAN billionaires are pushing for that.

Owning shares in a corporation isn't an inherently bad thing. If it was, I would expect you to be frothing at the mouth about all those rich shareholding Republicans.

And by the way, one thing that you, I agree, don't see is that none of those rich Democrats are forcing their employees to go back to work and risk their lives.

Opening back up will mean all that sacrifice was for nothing. We already have the worst-performing COVID-19 response in the entire world by a lot of metrics. If we would wait another 2-3 weeks, we would be in a lot better shape.

As I said in most of these COVID -19 threads, you are jeopardizing the food supply by opening up. The meatpacking plants have stayed open during the shutdown.  The grocery stores have stayed open.  The ones that closed did so because the virus overwhelmed the plant or store. Opening back up greatly increases the chance these meatpackers and grocery store workers will catch COVID-19 away from work and then bring it back to work which will cause a contraction in the food supply.

Hell, Trump can't keep the White House safe when everyone that goes into the building is tested every day and no expense is being spared to halt the spread of the virus.  Are regular employers going to go to the expense of testing every worker every day? If not, shouldn't they expect a worse outcome than the White House?

Worse yet, they are forcing people the CDC classifies as medically vulnerable to go back to work otherwise they forfeit their unemployment benefits. Conservative states have even set up tattletale sites where workers can be reported for not showing up to work. Funny conservatives protested because not being able to get a haircut was big government oppression but they don't utter a peep when state governments use police state like surveillance tactics to keep tabs on them.

The bottom line is what does a fat paycheck and fat investment account matter if you are dead?  People in this country are just incredibly hedonistic.  Past generations that survived the Great Depression and fought in WWII are crying in their graves about what a country of pussies we have become.

If modern conservatives had been around during WWII, they would be protesting sugar and butter rations as government oppression and demanding we surrender to Hitler immediately so they can get back to their lives.
