Of course, we know why. The protests were Black people. The insurrection was White people. Angry Black people equates to a "riot." Angry White people are "fighting for justice."

People getting up and yelling at school board meetings isn't remotely equivalent to people gathering at our nation's Capitol and seeking out elected officials to murder them.

What you believe, Tommie-poo, is irelevant. And several police officers died as a result of trauma, mental or physical, suffered during the insurrection. It's murder even if your victim doesn't die on the same day you assaulted him.

The justice department has never in any way, shape, or form characterized parents at school board meetings as terrorists. The ones screaming about CRT were dumb assholes, sure, but that's not against the law.

I agree, PJ, that the insurrection is small potatoes compared to the ongoing efforts by elected officials to control the outcomes of elections. The Capitol riot was a gathering of 1000+ drooling, inbred, buck-toothed mouth-breathing losers. Like cockroaches. The efforts to destroy democracy are much more consequential.

I don't think enough attention is being paid to the fact that at least five states prepared a slate of "alternate" electors, just in case the coup succeeded. This suggests that the conspiracy was much, much more than Trump and a gang of murderous yahoos.

Our resident conservitards refuse to condemn the coup, the insurrection, or the conspirators--and of course, Trump gets a free pass from them, too. And they not only don't care about voter suppression--they actively support it. It's disgusting to see. Fuck them.

Nevermind those riots weren't geared towards overthrowing our Federal GOvernment  - and really thats a mic drop right there.

But further - I dont know of any sitting members in the Democrat COngress, Liberal Media, or sitting president who gave their blessing to any violence that occurred.    And I sure as hell didnt see any of them on the ground feeding them their mission statement right before taking to the streets.  And I dont see any of them calling it a witch hunt to bring to justice anyone who participated in those violent acts.

I dont see any liberals in Washington, the media, or on this board defending the riots you speak of.   nor did they attend them.   Nor did they feed them a lie from a podium mements before their terrorist raid.  Nor did they obstruct the justice system in the wake of their acts.   Nor did they refuse to share information or ignore subpoenas with the investifating body.    But same thing, right buddy ?
