It seems to me you just don't get it and I suspect you don't want to get it. It was an attempted coup. The insurrectionists that broke into the house and smeared feces all over the walls were just one component of the conspiracy to overthrow the Federal Government.
Fraudulent electoral certifications were submitted by Trump allies in seven states. This was an organized scheme or conspricy as all the certifications used the same template. Trump and his allies coerced Republican elected officials in those same states as we heard in Trump's infamous phone call to find the votes. These and various other schemes were components of a large conspiracy to overthrow the government. There may be as many as 30 current Republican members of Congress that were part of this conspiracy to overthrow the government.
Only once in the history of the United States was our capital sacked and that was back in the war of 1812. In the history of the Civil War, the Confederate flag was never flown in the capital. It was on January 6. When the Visigoths sacked Rome it was seen as a heralding of the end of the Roman Empire. The Romans cared so little for the state of their long-running civilization that they simply let a bunch of barbarians wander in and sack their capital.
The January 6th insurrection was a historically significant event. It is a disgraceful stain on our Republic. It is both dishonorable and deceitful to compare it to a riot.
No American citizen that cares about our country and its history should quit talking about it until these traitors are brought to justice.

Jerry, false equivalence arguments are a favorite and stupid conservitard tactic. Trying to equate the BLM protests with the insurrection is such an argument.
The BLM protests weren't "riots," except in a few instances, on a very small scale. The vast majority of the protests were peaceful. Nothing about the insurrection was peaceful, and ALL the participants were rioters.
I know you hate hate hate Black people (just like all our other resident RepubliQ conservitards). That's what's really going on here. But let me penetrate your racist fog to ask you a simple question: okay, let's say that the BLM protests were all "riots" (every single one of them, every single person), and that millions of people were killed, trillions of dollars' worth of property was destroyed, and the planet was made to wobble on its axis.
How in the name of sweet holy motherfuck does that excuse the insurrectionists?
Kevin, did the Proud Boys bring guns to the Capital building? Radio silence to follow.
Is "guns at the Capital building" the QaNon, pigeonhole definition of sedition ?
Basic, undisputed facts:
-The Oath Keepers planned the Jan 6 raid in advance
-Their leader and organizer has recorded communications in evidence to bring military arms to the surrounding areas if needed.
- The military arms were not needed as the mob was able to illegally breech the Captial building with the illegal intent to disrupt an official government proceeding....and critically assault multiple police officers in the process
..all without guns. They used blunt weapons and pepper spray.
That is the legal definition of sedition - not "did they bring guns to the Capital building". But if it makes Boilerman feel better they did bring pipe bombs to the Capital building.
(Just a bit of trivia - the 911 hijackers didnt bring guns to their terrorist attack on the US government either. Pretty sure they were universally classified as terrorists. Boilerman is free to disagree)

They almost certainly did. We know they stockpiled guns in their hotel rooms and other places where they met just prior to the Capitol riot. I suppose they could all have just left those guns behind, realizing that carrying firearms while, um, storming the Capitol building was against the law. Because they were all, um, law-abiding citizens.
But they were all violent insurrectionists bent on destruction and murder, even if they were only armed with pea shooters, so your question, like so many things you say, is stupid and irrelevant.
I wonder why Boiler, Jerry, and our other conservitards are trying to defend and excuse the insurrectionists. Maybe some of their buck-toothed buddies were there? Maybe they're facing criminal indictments?
Conservitards LUVVVV to brag about their patriotism, but when the rubber hits the road, they show us who they really are.
Nope, none of that. Amazing how Kevin always resorts to name calling when he is in trouble with the argument. Can look all over this forum to see that. Of course he has a whopping 3 others that support his radical views.

Irrelevant. For seditious CONSPIRACY to occur, it takes one or more individuals to plan an illegal act and then just one of them to make an overt act to carry out the conspiracy. The overt act does NOT in and of itself have to be illegal.
Maybe you didn't know that until now, Boilerman. But next time you say it you'll just be lying.

"He said as much..." Jerry, why don't you have the courage to actually quote what I said.
Well, we all know the answer to that, don't we?
