I just want to know how is mother isnt on trial.    Seriously, what kind of parent lets their high school kid go to a riot like its some kind of rock concert?

Kyle Rittenhouse:  "Bye, Mom!   I'm heading over to the riot with my assault rifle.   Be home later."

Kyle's Mom:   "OK, Sweetie, have fun and be safe."

WTF?!?!

Killer Kyle goes free! Now Republican Congressmen are fighting over who gets to claim him as an intern. The kid is set for life.  All he has to do is milk the wingnut welfare circuit.

Your second sentence is the real issue.    I dont really object to the verdict so much as the way this incident is being symbolized by the right as the formula for going forward.     

I'm pretty sure they dont want locals in DC going down to confront the Jan 6th nuts with loaded guns....but the next BLM protest will be drawing in a bunch more emboldened Rittenhouse types - and right wing pundits and members of COngress will be cheering it on.

There are some really dangerous people in high places right now. 

I agree about 40 percent of Republicans are like rabid dogs. The kid did good on the stand, the prosecutor did a bad job and his victims were bad people. He got the expected verdict.

Only the Jury knows. 

I watched most of the trial (HLN).  Those videos were messy, really hard to determine who was doing what.  Jurors were able to view the videos as many times as they needed/wanted to during their deliberations.  

The instructions to the jury, some 35 pages, even the crabby judge admited he was confused, and he wrote them!  One juror requested to take a copy of the instructions home last night and was allowed to do so, apparently an unusual request, unusual ruling.  Was this juror a lone holdout (one way or the other) and needed some time to study the instructions before casting her vote?

Look at it this way...they all (the kid, his attackers) had guns.  Somebody was going to be shot, probably die.  No sympathy from here.  They were all guilty.  The kid was just damned lucky it turned out in his favor.  JMHO.

Candy, the judge was not confused by the instructions, he pointed out that the instructions where confusing (to jurors and others).  Oh my.

And how dare the judge be crabby after the prosecutor, in the presence of the jury, tells all that the defendant must be guilty because he excercises his constitutional right to silence.

Justice was delivered. The case should have never gone to trial - you can blame brain deads Biden and the biased media liars. Meanwhile, the double murderer OJ Simpson is still breathing - as a result of the gutless jurors who set this animal free.

Our resident conservitards squeal their gun love and their starry-eyed admiration for a teenager who shot three people.

Not at all surprising.

Self defense was utilized - as it should be. The only surprise is that it should be an accepted practice by all. The three who were shot were not just "people" - they were marauding thugs who got exactly what they deserved.

It's a perfect formula.  One is allowed to protect property and one's safety with a gun if needed.  Criminals no longer get to burn and pillage with impunity.  The outcome was perfect.
