Looks Like The Coronavirus is Arriving

Well, if Trump has his way, it will be a true pandemic--which, technically, it isn't quite yet. But another few weeks of administration dithering and blundering, and everybody in the US will have been exposed.

Sean Hannity may have told Trump that only Democrats would die from the virus, which might explain why Trump's encouraging its spread. Who knows, though, what kind of toxic misinformation leaks into the Orange Asshole's skull. We'll be rid of him soon, but sadly, not until he kills thousands of people with his stupid incompetence.

And Tom, Boilerbaby, etc. will be standing on the sidelines and cheering for that incompetent.

The basic fact of this virus outbreak is that China did not contain it, denied it was happening, then tried to cover it up. By the time the rest of the world was notified the virus already had spread around the world. The genie was out of the bottle. Since no one knows how long the virus can survive on a surface yet, it can be anywhere. Containment by the time the first U S cases were found was futile. It didnt matter if tests kits were available and we could contain the people found at the time, the virus already was here. The fact that there are cases being found now that cant be linked proves it. The government response should be to now test people so we can track its spread, make sure there is enough money available to provide treatment (congress finally appropriated the funds) without overwhelming the sysem and to ease the puplic fears. PJ is correct, there is nothing to do but hope you dont catch it and if you do pray its a mild case. Blaming Trump for this virus outbreak is miguided and accomplishes nothing. I think most level headed people who know the facts see that.

"Most level-headed people" realize the major part that Trump's incompetence has played in the coronavirus outbreak. He spent weeks downplaying the danger, in order to (he thought) boost his reelection chances and keep the stock market from tanking. He could have ordered the test kits to be made in quantity as soon as the outbreak (in China) became known. That would have been a sensible safety precaution. Instead, he blathered on about Da Wall, and flitted off to India.

Americans' blood is on Trump's hands, and anyone being a loyal Trump lackey and downplaying his role in this crisis is just burying their head in the sand. But as Trump himself has repeatedly said, he could kill someone on the street in broad daylight and not suffer any consequences. He probably won't see any real repercussions from killing all the coronavirus victims with his incompetence.
