Never said I was against advances (I own a hybrid). I merely pointed out that governments are passing laws banning gas cars based on technology that doesn't exist, materials that are not readily available & electrical capacity that doesn't exist (and not even being planned).

I can't find the source right now, but I remember reading that the cost of driving with such an infrastructure in place would be about 4 cents a mile.

And when in the last hundred years have we not succeeded in making technology more efficient and cost-effective, especially in high-demand industries?
