Next you'll tell me that the reason that illegal immigration is up 2000% is because of Trump.

Actually, Boiler, that 2000% number is utter bullshit, because people presenting themselves at the border seeking asylum is NOT the same as "illegal immigration." It is people legally petitioning the US government for temporary asylum status.

I'll state it simply for you. These people aren't immigrants, because they haven't immigrated. They aren't illegal, because they are obeying US law by applying peacefully and honestly for asylum.

And yes, Trump incited the Capitol riot, whether or not you want to acknowledge that simple reality.

Conservitards love to seize on that ONE sentence as somehow proving that Trump wasn't inciting violence. It's called taking words out of context. If he really wanted his goons to be peaceful, why didn't he say that several times? Why did he repeatedly tell them to be violent and aggressive?

Also...the slimy little coward said he would be "with them" as they marched to destroy democracy--except that he wasn't, he scurried home to watch it on TV. This is the man you worship, Boiler.

Any immigration attorney's on this site?   I know some terms:  Immigrant, migrant, asylum, residency, just some of the systems that serve to LEGALLY accept persons into the US under various conditions.   I doubt we are all experts on the subjects.  

Trump cut the number (there was/is an official number, folks, not just y'all come on) back in...when...2017?  Now Biden pronounced his intent to increase that number back to where it was.  But he acknowledged while he'd like to, it can't be accomplished any time soon. 

Applications for legal entry can take years to be approved.  The pandemic is just one factor that set this even further back.  Applications must be vetted by trained officials.  Applicants themselves must be interviewed in person which may mean immigration application processors (here and in those countries) may have to travel to interview the applicant.   Years long processes in many cases.  This practically ceased during the pandemic, setting many applicants years behind when they projected they'd be able to come in.  Now gearing back up but like every other agency they lost personnel, have to re-hire, retrain (similar problem with census takers, but I digress).  Basically fewer resources to insure those coming in have actual resources, jobs/job potential, family, etc. so they aren't immediately on the street, i.e. snuck in illegally, and the cycle of mugging/jail/mugging/jail/robbing/killing begins. 

Biden's pronouncement was easy to make, but how possible to bring about?  Not much any time soon.  And he knew that.  But great sound bite.

The "illegal" label is what gets us all stirred up.  I don't think either, or any, POTUS campaigns on a platform to encourage illegal immigration.
