Most Conservatives Hate The Truth And They Hate Democracy What About You?

Candy, the hypocrisy I object to in conservitards' (ours and others) faux outrage is that they conflate legal and illegal immigration---because, despite their bleatings to the contrary, they object to all immigration, legal or illegal. As with everything RepubliQ, it's all about racism.

One has to consider one of the central tenets, if not the central tenet, of good ol' white boy conservatism: white grievance. THEY are comin' to take our JOBZ and purty soon, THEY will be votin' and hootin' and hollerin' and wantin' all that human rights nonsense. And you know, they're right. Over time, there will be more and more Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezes and fewer and fewer Lindsay Grahams. Hispanics will continue to gain in power and influence as they gain in numbers. That's the thing that conservatives hate so very, very much: democracy.

Insofar as illegal immigrants are concerned: first of all, very few of them become citizens and/or settle here permanently, so they don't affect the overall demographic of the electorate very much. Thus, conservative panties can and should remain untwisted. How does their presence affect you or me? Very little. Despite lurid depictions by Mother Tucker and other scum, they keep a very low profile. The net effect of their work and presence is that my vegetables are a little cheaper than they otherwise would be, and it costs less to stay in a hotel room because the maids earn minimum wage.

As far as the THAR TAKIN' ARE JOBZ bleat goes, well...I've yet to see a good ol' white boy park his pickup truck, jump out, and march out into the strawberry fields with a short-handled hoe to make $8.50 an hour, with no benefits.

Question, are you including the Dreamers in that statement of illegals setteling here permently or their parents? Making blanket statements without providing some proof.. You would be up in arms spouting all kinds of poo if Boiler made a blanket statement without backing it up.

I'd take a look about immigration in the 1920's/1930's when the government cut back on the numbers of  immigrants.

Lastly, a co-worker was having a home remodel done and all of the contractors dry wallers were deported so it took an extra few weeks to get the job done. Those positions are typically a union position and the last union position I knew the pay rate was $29/hr for brick layers. (yea, low paying jobs...)

1. I don't really care about how things were done 100 years ago, except to note that nonwhite people, immigrants, and foreigners were treated even more shittily than they are now.

2. The Dreamers are Americans. Period. They have nothing to do with illegal immigration, because they have broken no laws.

3. Your anecdote proves my point. The drywall workers were performing useful labor--adding to the economic output of the US. Yet, they were scooped up and deported--at who knows how much expense. People who are gainfully employed and productive should be allowed to stay here, even if they did arrive illegally.

(By the way, the vast majority of "illegals" in the US arrived here legally--via work or student visas. They're illegal now because they overstayed. So the RepubliQ myth of hordes of illegals "flooding" the border is a crock of nonsense.)

I know far more about history than you do or ever will. What is the point of this latest lie of yours?

#2. they got here via their parents coming to the country illegalily. Since neither parent are American citizens, that makes them illegal too. Otherwise there would not be all this rukus about them NOT being citizens.

#3 (comment at the end). Sorry your making another blanket statement without backing up with facts.

#1. Forgetting history tends to have a bad conquence in the future when it's repeated.

#2. ABSOLUTELY NOT. No one, under any current modern legal system, is liable for the actions of their parents, criminal or otherwise. The question of whether they are or should be citizens has nothing to do with criminality.

#3. Yes, I am making a "blanket statement" that work is useful and produces economic output. I don't need to "back up" that statement: it's self-evident.

#1. I didn't say I was forgetting history. Your words, not mine. I said that I don't care what was happening 100 years ago when trying to decide what should be done now. If you had deployed whatever reading skills you have, you'd have noticed that I referred to the historical mistreatment of minorities--which is indeed remembering history.

So, don't be silly, and think before you say something.

#2. They are still here illegally period.

#3. nope.

#1 Monty Python Swing Dance GIF

Thinking like yours is precisely what's wrong with this country. Calling children criminals because of what their parents did is cruel, stupid, and contrary to common sense and American values.

Posting a silly video because I refuted what you said does nothing to support your position. Just so you know.

Kevin thinks it is ok for illegals to have a job over American citizens. Once again he supports law breakers over law abiders.
