We are innocent until proven guilty and refusing to testify is not a confession of guilt. I’m sorry you’ve lost your way. Maybe Trump's lawyers can argue how the NY Attorney General ran for political office on a Get Trump platform and how this is a vendetta based on politics. Perhaps the jury won't assume anything about Trump's guilt or innocence but base their decisions on the law and what was actually proven by the prosecutors….not some silent assumption of guilt. Or is that too much to ask in Democrat America?

He never said that Trump couldn't take the 5th--he opined that it was such bad strategy that only a guilty person would do it. Neither he nor anyone else ever said that Trump couldn't use his holy sacred patriotic granted by the founding fathers rights.
And Charles my boy...surely you're not so dense as to think that Trump's guilt/liability isn't already well established? That his testimony, or lack thereof, really matters at this point? He's a thief, a crook, and a tax cheat. He can take the 5th all the way to prison if he wants.
