Todd...What was the main topic again? That DeSantis vetoed public funding for the Tampa baseball complex because of the team's woke Twitter stance on gun control..right? Gun control stances / legislation is all I've posted about, mostly. I wasn't trying to minimize the shooting tragedy with my posts..just vocalizing stances on general gun control issues..and where DeSantis likely derived his position on his action. I didn't even ask you to agree with it, either...your disagreement with his action doesn't bother me. I just disagree with you and Kevin on the issues..yet again. Take your vitamins..I'll take my ginko biloba...we'll survive and enjoy another episode of Gunsmoke; actually, Thursday Night Football, rather.

It has absolutely nothing to do with 2nd ammendment rights.  The Tampa Bay sports team doesnt have any power on that matter.  Much like Disney all they did was give voice to an opinion that made the thin-skinned governor shit his pants.  So he punished them for it.  

So thats the issue, Charles.   And I would think thats obvious to anyone who made an honest effort to evaluate current events.

   Do you support politicians who actrively abuse their power to punish people for giving voice to opnions that differ from their own?  Cause Desantis has done it twice now on a large scale.    I can only imagine the shit storm that would occur if Joe Biden raised taxes on the MyPillow retard.   Please Spare us any ludicrous  future lectures about free speech if you condone this behavior.     And Happy Holidays

It's disturbing that Charles is willing to give Florida Man a free pass simply because he agrees with his ideology.

It's almost as if they think someone exercising his Second Amendment rights to mow down a few dozen people at a ballgame would be a bad thing.

I'm pretty exhausted with those damned pillow commercials myself, as a side note. The argument wasn't about 2nd amendment rights? Maybe I misread it...or just extrapolated the opportunity for my own purposes regarding that issue..just so you fine folks would know where I stand on it. No surprises.

No, I generally don't back politicians who punish opposing opinions without some aspect of due process for all. I don't even punish the left-leaners in here who disagree with my stances on issues ( well..maybe just a tad bit of chastisement on occasion, just so youse guys can keep your shoes tied).

Well, you'd be an expert on snideness wouldn't you? Everybody on the planet should be against mass shootings..I know nobody that isn't. Did you read the actual wording in the letter they wrote? It's irrelevant ultimately, because we're never going to agree .

You cant have a debate about issues if your governor is going to punish you for voicing your opinion.   ANd thats not only thin skinned and petty - its also dangerous.    We dont know yet if this moron is going to run for president but businesses in FLorida have had a front row seat to they way he governs.   God help us if he gets to the White House.

Wether it's DeSantis' and guns or the vaccine or how a highly sussessful business chooses how to run their affairs, DeSantis is sticking his nose into what only 25% of American voters care about.

He should worry more about the high insurance rates Florida have to pay.

I think we can be certain he's going to run for President. After all, a lot of his stunts, including this latest one, make no sense unless he's grooming himself to be the Big Enchilada in 2024.
