I'm not interested betting on something like this though. I'd rather focus on the good things people are doing throughout the country to help their fellow Americans than condemning every action of the Federal Government and some actions of certain state governments. There will be time to disect and affix blame. Now is the time to stop being hyperpolitical and start being Americans again.
I don't know, but if Trump goes ahead with his May 1 reopening of the economy, and Florida of course complies, it will be a bloodbath.
After this whole thing is over, there will be a postmortem based on a lot of factors. After controlling for factors like age, population density, pre-existing conditions, income, and so on, I'm pretty sure that Trump supporters, Fox News watchers, and evangelicals will be dying at a much higher rate than the rest of us because they are the most likely to think all the fuss is a hoax and a plot against Trump.
It's called survival of the fittest. And they ain't.
It would be glorious if the coronavirus only killed Trumpers, but it also kills decent people, unfortunately.
You're right, though, that it dies tend to kill those demographics at a greater rate than others, from which we can take some small comfort.
I don't want anyone to die from the virus, but at least it's reducing the Trumper population. Darwin, again.

Let's recap:
1. You claimed that states like California would fare better than states like Florida. I pointed out your obvious hypocricy and political bias by excluding New York state.
2. You said: "Okay, I'll take that bet all day long. Deaths per thousand in New York State vs Florida. Let's see."
3. Kevin Lewis inserted himself into the conversation claiming I did not understand your claim and that it was not political in nature it was about leadership.
4. I responded that it was clearly political as was his response and I extolled us all to support our government efforts to combat Covid19 at all levels Federal, State, Local...because that's what Americans do. I encouraged everyone to end the hyperpolitization of a national crisis.
5. I pointed out that the projected death toll in New York will be 4 times greater than Florida and Florida has a greater population than New York. Given those numbers Will you still 'take that bet all day long' that deaths per thousand in New York will be less than deaths per thousand in Florida or will you be a man and admit you're way wrong on that?
6. Your post above proves my point that your whole objective was and is a poltical one. You and Kevin hate President Trump and condem every action he takes. To the point of purposely skewing your facts on a national emergency to fit your agenda. That's called dishonesty.
7. I will not debate with you on who is to blame for these deaths and any government missteps. There is plenty of blame. I will continue to encourage you to stop the blame game for political gain while we're in the middle of this crisis. It's just wrong.
8. I have no doubt that you and the others will continue to attack the president for every action he takes. I think that's unfortunate and sad and unhealthy for you.
Have a Great Day

The late, great John Prine, who just died of the virus, wrote a song about people like you: "Your Flag Decal Won't Get You Into Heaven Anymore." That was about Vietnam War supporters who thought it was disloyal to oppose the war. And I remember people like you trying to destroy the Dixie Chicks and others over their opposition to the Iraq War because they weren't "supporting the troops."
How many more Americans, Vietnamese, and Iraqis could have avoided needless death if folks had gotten more political over our foreign policy idiocies. Getting political = good in my opinion.
And yes, my evaluation of various political leaders wasn't comprehensive. So let me take time to say that California, Oregon, and Washington will turn out to be the most responsible states, the Democratic mayor of New York City was bad and the Democratic mayor of Las Vegas is just awful, the Republican governor of Ohio has handled this well, and Governor Cuomo was a prick, is a prick, and will always be a prick, but has done a slightly better than mediocre job, can communicate intelligently, and is therefore infinitely better than the President of the United States.
But that ain't saying much.

This is probably your sickest post yet. You really are deranged. Claiming it would be 'glorious if the virus only killed Trumpers'. What's wrong with you?
Of course once again you're dead wrong. Covid 19 is disproportionately impacting minority communities.
"And early indications are that African Americans and Hispanics are disproportionately being affected by the virus and the illness it causes: COVID-19.
What's more, in New York City, the U.S. community hardest hit by the virus, more Hispanics per capita are succumbing to the illness than any other ethnic group."

Of course you're the real prick here. Still not admitting you're wrong on the New York vs Florida 'bet'. Funny how you ignored that after being proven wrong. Lol..what else are you wrong about that you'll never admit? Or do you really want to place that wager? If so I'll cover any amount you can come up with.
There's a big difference between second guessing the government's Covid response and objecting to the Iraq war. What exactly do you hope to accomplish by undermining the response at this point in time? Do you think we can just withdraw from Covid 19? What's it going to change? It's only a quest for political power now. At the start of this, Kevin was claiming it's no big deal as were many on the left. And Trump was racist for shutting down travel from the epicenter. I imagine you were in that crowd too.
I can just about guarantee that if we had shut things down in January and had very few Covid 19 deaths, you and Kevin would be here complaining that we ruined the economy for nothing and Trump was a dictator.
I can just about guarantee that if this was President Hillary making the exact same moves as President Trump you'd be championing her courage and decisive action I and can equally guarantee others here would be in attack mode. I'm not goint to play that game and I think most Americans agree.
But go on. Have your little circle jerk with Kevin and Mark. You guys deserve each other. I'll have no part of it.

Wow, where to begin. How about stopping the exporting of medical protective gear and removing the tariff on Purell? How about a federal response that included testing by the millions instead of the thousands. How about providing adequate masks to every medical worker and all Americans tomorrow? How about a chief executive that cares more about American lives than slight stock market upticks, and even on occasion shows empathy toward Americans? How about opposing an extreme radical in the presidency who claims he has "absolute power" over the states and has threatened to adjourn Congress by divine right? How about a president who pledges to work constructively with international health organizations that have been invaluable in combatting Ebola and other scourges in the past? How about a president that doesn't scarf up stimulus money for himself and his family. How about a president that Americans can believe in and follow, as opposed to one who lies and lies and lies? How about a president who can admit, just once, that he's made a mistake?
That is an incredibly incomplete list of what we need GOING FORWARD.
And as far as your fantasy that I wouldn't criticize a President Hillary over the same inept response, that's just projection. That's how you roll, not me. I calls them as I sees them and I'm equal opportunity. Last week Bernie's idiot press secretary called me, personally, a racist.
I'm kind of proud of that one.
And one more Charles, from earlier today. Trump says he's planning on sending ventilators to Russia. Wow, Putin really got his money's worth.
What do I want, in your words, to "undermine" about Trump's response? See above.
Charles says he wants no part of this debate---at the end of his third several-hundred-word post on the same thread in a day.
It would be nice if he wasn't lying.
