Sunny Hostin’s discomfort with American flags in neighborhoods exposes a deep-seated hostility toward the very symbols of our republic

So sad that Sunny is scared of the flag.  I wonder where in the US she feels safe.  I am guessing she is also scared of the police, the military, highway patrol, maybe even dogs .  Who ya gonna call ?  Ghostbusters ?

Pathetic liberal cry baby --  May be an image of text

This "issue" is beyond Millerpiggy's understanding. Hostin isn't afraid of and doesn't dislike the American flag. She's afraid of the people who wave it in her face, call her "nigger," and threaten to injure or kill her.

I don't think that many Black people rah-rah-rah the Fourth of July, wave "old Glory," etc. etc., because when this country was founded, their ancestors were enslaved. That's nothing to be proud of or to celebrate. The founding documents of this country codified slavery into law and stated that a Black person was three-fifths of a human being.

And now, we have MAGA, right-wing nut jobs, Millerpiggy and his kind, Donald Trumpf, etc. etc. etc. still telling us that Black people are inferior and deserve to be put down. If I was the target of all that shit, I wouldn't be rah-rah sis-boom-bah about the flag, either.

The only person I know of who uses the "N" word is YOU, Lewis.  I never have , I have never seen/read where President Trump has used that word - only YOU use it. So what does that say about you?  Using the "race" card carries no weight anymore. Your lies don't work anymore either.

Yes, every time I put it in quotation marks, you or some other MAGApig accuses me of "using" that word--when what I'm actually doing is quoting somebody else using it. You're too STOOOOOPID to understand the difference, I know.

Trump has used the word hundreds of times, according to those who have spent any time in his presence.

You copied and pasted a race hatred post about a Black woman. Your purpose and intent was to denigrate a person of color. You're no different than a KKK member burning a cross.

I didn't "use the race card." YOU did. You "shared" a race hatred post.

Your kind sickens me, Millerpiggy. And you sicken everyone else as well. Now wriggle and weasel and insult me. That won't change what you are one tiny bit. Bigot. Racist. Asshole. Millerpiggy. Fuck you, you awful excuse for a human being.

I do not believe that Sunny Hostins is afraid of anything.  She was very good as a legal analyst on HLN, very articulate and clearly very knowledgable.

I agree with David that the majority of people, including those from the South, no longer use the N word.  Some do, of course in casual conversation, the lowest element of our society.

Blacks use the word heavily in movies and music, unfortunately which can be interpreted as OK for anyone to use.

Kevin is hung up on the evil practice of slavery as if it were still a practice in the U.S.  Slavery came to America from Africa and other countries.  Kevin seems to want to deny that any progress on race relations has been made.

Candy, using hyperbole a la Miller is stupid and beneath you. When did I ever say that slavery still exists or that no progress in race relations has ever been made?

Well?? When did I say that? When?

Here's the reality. Black people are still considered by many Americans to be inferior to whites: second-class citizens at best. You don't believe me? You shrug and say that civil rights have repaired the damage and a Black person has the same opportunities and is treated the same way as a white person? How 'bout you ask ANY Black person if that's their experience?

I've noticed that the greatest apologists for racism are those who live where it's the most prevalent: in America, the South. It's their way of handling the shame of their legacy.

It's much easier to be a Black American now than it was 70 years ago. But it still ain't no bowl of cherries.

And you know what, Candy? Though you're a Miller apologist, his racist post that started this thread should starkly illustrate the way that his kind regards Black people.

It's hard to argue that the progress made hasn't been set back by 35 years under Trump. It's also hard argue that while there was progress before that there was ever parity.

  (1) - You say my post is "racist" - prove where my post says it was specifically made because she is a Black person. I would have made the same post if any of the other women on the "View" had said the same thing. Those women are lunatics - all they do is bitch. (2) - Candy - Once again Lewis has turned on you because you did not agree 100% with his outlandish statements. That is what he does and will do again in the future. Lewis is mentally ill, full of TDS rage and hatred. He is sick. You don't have to take my word for it - just look at/read his current and past postings and make up your own mind.

You have to realize where Candy is from: a place that for 100 years, wrung out its wealth from the sweat of Black people and for the next 160+ years after that, has treated them like farm animals--except they don't drag out farm animals in the middle of the night and hang them from a tree. So Southerners tend to dismiss and belittle the plight of the Black populace, because well, it's getting better, and why are they always complaining, blah blah blah. Black people are not considered equal in the South. Is it better than it was? Of course, Has equality been achieved? Not even close.
