Tesla and Elon Musk have made a powerful statement by committing over $3 billion to a new research factory in Texas, fully embracing America First principles.

Yeah, well, "business friendly" is "people unfriendly." Texas lags far behind other states in providing basic services. The roads are awful--poorly maintained and unsafe. Their state medical care is a joke. They don't control pollution at all. It's a shithole, but yeah, a cheap shithole.

Texas is very reluctant to fund social programs, because they don't want a dime going to brown people. Those folks are definitely on the bottom rung of Texas society, and allowing them to make a decent living might endanger that.

It's kind of great, though, that there are places where if the only thing you care about is taxes, you can go and live large. The brown slaves will fight each other for the chance to clean your toilets and cook your food. No beauty, no society, no progress. Just a flat, ugly desert dump.

Elon, of course, is enthralled.

You bet.. they don't want over half their existing resident population ( brown and/or black) to get any assistance. I guess they just don't want to collect sales and property taxes from those people either. It's a wonder they don't just run em off..round em up and herd em across the Red and Rio Grande Rivers like the steers in Lonesome Dove.  Maybe they're just waiting for Cinco De Mayo to finally spring into action? Roughly one-third of their current elected state representatives are Latino or Black, btw. Were you aware of that? You often offer exxagerative analyses of minority oppression whether the location be in Texas , Monkey's Eyebrow Kentucky, or Toad Suck Arkansas. It ain't 1950 - 1990 anymore? Based on the latest Texas Dept of Public Safety records, there were no lynchings whatsoever in the most recent annual stats, either. I know that's a surprise to you.

Also, show me some proof that Texas roads are awful? And, even though you despise the state, you've been there often enough to make over-generalized comments about overall road conditions? Where'd you get your information? Forgive me but I'm just a bit skeptical of your Texas thoroughfare expertise. I guess it's possible that you at one time might have gotten  hung up on the continuous Loop 410 around San Antonio and you use that as a base to define all Texas roads ( be thankful you were eventually able to exit; some people have been circling the home of the Alamo for years without ever getting off that loop).

I will say its your right to demonize Texas, Texans, and any entity/ group of your choice. Just check your facts on occasion.

Facts mean nothing to Lying Lewis as he spews his hatred and lies about anything and anyone who he chooses to disparage.

Okay...first of all, the fantasy of rounding up every non-white person and herding them across the Rio Grande is widespread and cherished in Texas. What makes me say that? I do read and watch media from a number of different locales--both civilized regions and places like Texas. I also have a good friend who lives in San Antonio and a relative who lives in Fort Worth, and I talk to them often. They have often stated that black and brown people in Texas are casually treated as second-class citizens at best and vermin that must be eradicated at worst.

As far as roads are concerned: I've traveled across Texas seven times, as I've driven cross country to New Orleans, Florida, etc. The contrast between federal interstate highways and state highways is stark. The latter lack adequate shoulders, medians, and signage; on- and off-ramps are too short, and fundamental aspects such as drainage and grading appear to have been an afterthought.

This is, it appears, a consequence of insufficient funding. Texas's "tax friendliness" comes at a cost. The condition of their highways is such a cost, and I'm sure there are others. One that comes to mind is the isolation of their power grid, which bit them on the ass several years ago when they froze in the dark and when the lights came back on, there were bills for ten grand in their mailboxes.

I'm afraid my experiences on Texas highways are all too real. Taking Hwy 287 across the state (something you're forced to do if you're coming from Denver) is a near-death experience. And any regional roads in the areas between I-10 and I-20 are a good way to die.
