That free wind power sure is expensive.

Kevin, please don't read this.  You must remain within your "safe place" within the NY Times.

Yahoo isn't a news source, so no, I won't read it.

Fossil fuel energy policy and its impact on the environment costs alot more.  But Boilerman doesnt figure that into his math.

Canadian Wildfires cost 100 Billion

No one ever said renewable energy was free. But it's cheaper than fossil fuel energy, by a widening.margin.

And that's even if you're too dense to assign any value to the huge environmental benefits.

Wildfires and smoky air have always occurred wherever there are forests.  George Washington even noted in his diary the one that occurred on May 19, 1780 that reached as far south as Morristown, New Jersey.

Canadian government data show that wildfires in Canada have been overall declining since 1980

If greens were sincere in their concern about wildfires they would call for better forest management practices that make it easier to control wildfires when they start. This means: 1) more wilderness roads to access fires earlier and more directly, 2) more logging and thinning practices to improve forest health and 3) controlled burns where needed; just like the Indians used to do

Stupid Tommie-poo recommends building lotsa roads and increasing logging as a way to prevent forest fires. He's right! Cut down all the trees and there won't be any forest fires!

Kevin, the article was not written by Yahoo.  If you would have read the article, you'd learn all of the Lyin' Liberal tricks used to create the false cost figures for wind power.

Hell, this reminds me of the last time we talked wind power.  I provided data on average England home energy usage, nameplate capacity for two of the UK's largest wind farms, and ACTUAL PERCENTAGE OF NAMEPLATE PRODUCTION BY YEAR.  This data proved that every Liberal rag lies about how many homes these farms power.  All you guys did was provide the same lies provided by different liars attempting to show that I was wrong.  I was not.  Can Kevin tell us was the US average percentage of nameplate production actually happens?  No he can not, nor will he even attempt to learn this critical information.

Another favorite trick is Liberals demanding that the back up plant cost be accounted for NOT on the wind/solar ledger, but on the fossil fuel ledger.  These facilities are built only because they are needed for wind and solar, so that's where the cost should be accounted for.  NEVER will you find a Liberal writer do so.

Kevin never learns from these discussions.  If he did, he would know why California's electricity costs increased so rapidly.  I'll give you a hint......California wind and solar production has increased rapidly.  California Liberals can't hide these high wind and solar costs once production begins.

Don't worry....you can now go back to your safe space.

kevin continues to show he can't read.

This means: 1) more wilderness roads to access fires earlier and more directly,

2) more logging and thinning practices to improve forest health

Thinning extra forest growth provides less fuel for the fires & limits the spread of the fire

3) controlled burns where needed; just like the Indians used to do

Canadian government data show that wildfires in Canada have been overall declining since 1980

So much for the climate change story

Yep. Cut down all the trees, and there won't be any more forest fires.

Stupid Tommie-poo.

So kevin doen't own a single wood product?

There is no incentive for loggers to cut down all the trees, but there is incentive for loggers to prevent forest fires.
