I voted for Biden, I want him to succeed, but after his Afghanistan withdrawal debacle I've lost confidence in his ability to lead the country. I'm not the only one who feels this way as indicated in his abysmal poll numbers, even his build back better plan is being gutted by members of his own party. 2022 does not look good.
I don't want to rehash it, but putting blame on Biden for the Afghanistan shitshow is just hyperpartisan nonsense. You can't reasonably and honestly criticize him for not finding any good options where there weren't any to be found.
His lack of ability to lead the country is simply due to the fact that a bit less than half the country (the fabled 75 million) hates him and wants him to fail. They're willing to hurt themselves to accomplish that. They're blocking him at every turn even when he's trying to enact things they want. How can he succeed against that kind of irrational but determined opposition?
I agree that 2022 will be the first blow, as the sane party loses control of the House and maybe the Senate, and then the final blow will come in 2024, as one of two horrible scenarios will take place: 1) Trump, or Trump 2.0 (De Santis or some other RepubliQ asshole talking head) will win the election, and darkness will descend; that person will be our last President, or 2) the Democratic candidate (probably not Biden) will win, but one or more RepubliQ state legislatures and/or secretaries of state will refuse to certify the results; some of them could send their own hand-picked electors instead. Either way, this country will be torn apart.
And oh, how our Trumpers will caper and gibber in the firelight when that happens!
