There is legal immigration and illegal immigration.  Liberals like to think they are the same; conservatives are smart enough to know the difference and are against illegal immigration.

I agree. But the way those rules and laws are generally enforced by the GOP is much different today than it has been in recent history. Same applies to the Democrats. 

Also the calls for much more restrictive laws for legal immigration, especially for migrant workers is relatively new for the GOP.

The party used to be more supportive of making the legal process more efficient and accessible. Now it seems they want to make it as restrictive as possible. 

Conservatives whine and moan and bitch and cry about ILLEGULS and vastly, ridiculously overstate their numbers. They also propagandize the supposed vast harm that ILLEGULS do. You heard Trump call them ALL rapists and murderers. Pretty rich, coming from a multiple rapist and mass murderer.

Conservatives are against ANY immigration, because they hate hate hate brown people. 

I'm rolling on the floor laughing after seeing you describe conservatives as "smart." If you MAGA goobers were smart, you'd realize that even the FEELTHY ILLEGULS do us more good than harm. That's why the government policy has been fairly lax. Some compadre comes here to work on a farm, we really shouldn't give a shit about his legal status. He's producing.

There's the ridiculous propaganda that says that they come here and then Democrats make them cast fraudulent ballots. Not to mention, they eat all the cats.

I'm a student of history, and the scapegoating of immigrants sounds EXACTLY like the scapegoating of Jews in Nazi Germany.

Republicans do have a valid fear, in that immigrants are liable to be lower on the economic ladder and will more often than not vote Democrat if they achieve citizenship. The Republicans have no concomitant way to increase their numbers other than Clem and Maw having eleven kids. And Maw's too much into that corn likker to take care of them all, so six of them die.

Keep in mind that MAGA is playing a long game, with the goal of only white people who agree with their ideology being able to vote, or to have ther votes mean anything.
