They are. Trump is desperate for a deal and they know it. Trump told Hannity it wasn't a big deal if they keep the nuclear material. Trump's current position negates your whole argument. If Trump is going to let them keep it, how are we safer?
The truth is Trump's incompetence driven by his narcissismput us into a horrible position. There are only two options for getting out of this. 1. Send in the ground troops or 2. Agree to Iran's terms effectively surrendering to them. It sounds like Trump is leaning towards #2 given his comment about the uranium not being important.
As you put it Iran has no Navy, No Airfoce or air defenses yet even with out those things they managed to do billions of dollars worth of damage to our military bases, the hardline regime was able to strengthen their control over the country and they have taken control of the straight and have managed to do trillions of dollars of world wide economic damage that is still on going.

And could you please quote at least two "liberals" who have said that? If you can't, we'll suspect that you pulled that statement out of your wrinkled old ass.
Iran isn't as crippled militarily as Trump told you to believe. Of the 33 missile sites that can fire on the Strair of Hormuz, only three have been disabled. Their army is completely intact.
If Iran is starved of revenue and deprived of food, its people will suffer. Not the rulers.
All we've done is kill civilians and blow things up. We haven't achieved a damn thing.
